Belkıs Zehra Kaya
Belkıs Zehra Kaya (born 18 March 1984) is a Turkish judoka competing in the +78 kg division. In 2015, Kaya took the gold medal at the Grand Prix Zagreb, and two bronze medals, at the Grand Slam Baku and then at the Judo at the 2015 European Games, 2015 European Games again in Baku, Azerbaijan. World Judo Juniors Championships
The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 20 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year (except the years when the Olympics take place) by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Juniors Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 2024. International Judo Federation
The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the international governing body for judo, founded in July 1951. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. History On July 11, 1951 in London, the representatives of the European Judo Union (Great Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland) received the candidacy of Argentina and the International Judo Federation was created. The Italian Aldo Torti became the first President of the IJF. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years.
