Beledie Han () is a settlement in Kostinbrod Municipality, Sofia Province (Western Bulgaria). Geography Although shown separately on maps, since the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878 the settlement has never been registered as a populated place according to Bulgaria's official regulations. Instead it is considered a part (mahala) of the nearby village Gradets, Sofia Province, Gradets, situated 1.4 kilometers east-southeast. Beledie Han lies at altitude of 735 meters above sea level, located 11 kilometers north-northwest of the city of Kostinbrod, 18 km from Sofia Ring Road and 26 km from the center of Sofia. It is situated along Lomsko Road (Sofia – Petrohan Pass – Berkovitsa – Montana, Bulgaria, Montana – Lom (Bulgaria), Lom). Stara Planina
The Balkan mountain range is located in the eastern part of the Balkan peninsula in Southeastern Europe. It is conventionally taken to begin at the peak of Vrashka Chuka on the border between Bulgaria and Serbia. Lom Municipality () is a frontier municipality ('' obshtina'') in Montana Province, Northwestern Bulgaria, located along the right bank of Danube river in the Danubian Plain. Montana, Bulgaria
Montana ( ) is a town in northwestern Bulgaria. It is the administrative centre of the Montana Province. On the 2021 census, it had a population of 36,455. Names There had been a nearby Thracian settlement, on top of which the Romans set up a military camp, Castra ad Montanesium. When the town was first settled by Slavs it was known as Kutlovitsa; later in Ottoman Turkish as Kutlofça. The town was renamed Ferdinand in 1890, receiving the benevolence of Bulgarian ''Knyaz'' Ferdinand and town status. It is located on two important transport corridors: Lom — Sofia — Thessaloniki and Sofia — Belgrade. The international railway line to Western Europe passes through the municipality, with a train stop at Kostinbrod Station. The town is crossed by two rivers, the Blato in the north and the Belitsa in the south, both tributaries of the Iskar River. According to the legends, the town was founded by a certain Kosta, who settled near the crossing (брод, ''brod'') of the Belitsa, thus giving the name to the town (''Kostinbrod'' means "Kosta's ford").
