Bekkerzeel is a submunicipality of Asse in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant Flemish Brabant ( ; ) is a province of Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. Asse () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. It comprises the towns of Asse proper, Bekkerzeel, Kobbegem, Mollem, Relegem and Zellik. History Asse (formerly spelt "Assche") was probably inhabited by the Celtic tribe of the Nervii. Flemish Brabant ( ; ) is a province of Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The Flanders Heritage Agency is an agency of the Flemish government that supports the minister responsible for immovable heritage in formulating a well-founded and up-to-date policy for immovable heritage in Flanders.
