The 2009–10 Süper Lig (known as the ''Turkcell Süper Lig'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 52nd season since its establishment. The season commenced on 7 August 2009 with İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor (football team), Istanbul B.B. hosting defending champions Beşiktaş J.K., Beşiktaş at Atatürk Olympic Stadium. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. In the 2023–2024 season, twenty clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promotion and relegation, promoted from, and another four relegated to the TFF First League, 1. Lig. Samet Aybaba (born 3 February 1955, Adana) is a UEFA Pro Licensed Turkish football manager and former player. Career He was born 2 March 1955 in Adana. He began a football career in İskenderunspor. He transferred to Beşiktaş JK in 1977–78 season. He played as defender and midfielder in Beşiktaş JK. He played 334 matches for Beşiktaş and scored 7 goals. He won 2 League Championships, 1 Presidency Cup, 1 Prime Ministry Cup and 2 TSYD Cups and retired after finishing the 1987–88 season. He coached clubs such as Ankaragücü, Kayserispor, Vanspor, Adana Demirspor, Gençlerbirliği, Gaziantepspor, Trabzonspor and Ankaraspor.
