Bekasi (, ) is the List of regencies and cities of Indonesia, city with the largest population in the province of West Java, Indonesia, located on the eastern border of Jakarta. It serves as a commuter town, commuter city within the Jakarta metropolitan area, Greater Jakarta. Bekasi Regency () is a regency () of West Java Province, Indonesia. Its regency seat is in the district of Central Cikarang. It is bordered by Jakarta Special Region (the administrative cities of North Jakarta and East Jakarta) and by Bekasi City (which is a separate administration from the Regency) to the west, by Bogor Regency to the south, by Karawang Regency to the east and by the Java Sea to the north. West Java
West Java (, ) is an Indonesian Provinces of Indonesia, province on the western part of the island of Java, with its provincial capital in Bandung. Tri Adhianto Tjahyono
Tri Adhianto Tjahyono (born 3 January 1970) is an Indonesian politician of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle who is the mayor of Bekasi, serving since February 2025. He had previously been elected as deputy mayor in 2018, and later served as acting mayor (briefly full mayor) between 2022 and 2023. Early life and career Tri Adhianto Tjahyono was born in Jakarta on 3 January 1970 as the third child of G Soeprapto and Endang Sri Guntur Hudiani. He studied in Jakarta, graduating high school in 1989. He then worked as a government employee within the Ministry of Transportation before moving to Bandar Lampung's municipal government. During his time there, he earned bachelors' and masters' degrees from Lampung University. He then relocated to Bekasi, where he rose up the ranks of the municipal government. Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium located in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for association football matches. The stadium holds 30,000 people. History Patriot Stadium first built as ''Bekasi Stadium'' in 1980 with a capacity of only 5,000-10,000 spectators. Since 2011, the stadium has been upgraded into an international stadium. Tarumanagara or Taruma Kingdom or just Taruma was an early Sundanese Indianised kingdom, located in western Java, whose 5th-century ruler, Purnawarman, produced the earliest known inscriptions in Java, which are estimated to date from around 358 CE. At least seven stone inscriptions connected to this kingdom were discovered in Western Java area, near Bogor and Jakarta. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Skyway
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Skyway (abbreviated MBZ Skyway), formerly (and still colloquially) known as the Jakarta–Cikampek Elevated Toll Road, is a elevated expressway that extends from Cikunir, Bekasi, to Karawang in West Java, Indonesia, operated by PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, a subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga Tbk and PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (controlled by Metro Pacific Investments) with PT Ranggi Sugiron Perkasa as minority shareholder.
