Beitou District
Beitou District is the northernmost of the twelve districts of Taipei City, Taiwan. The historical spelling of the district is Peitou. The name originates from the Ketagalan word ''Kipatauw'', meaning witch. Beitou is the most mountainous and highest of Taipei's districts, encompassing a meadow with rivers running through the valley which have abundant steam rising from them; the result of geothermal warming. The valley is often surrounded by mist shrouding the trees and grass. Beitou is famous for its hot springs. In March 2012, it was named one of the ''Top 10 Small Tourist Towns'' by the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan. History The area's hot springs had long been enjoyed by the aboriginal people of Taiwan. Shortly before the Japanese period a German sulfur merchant established the first hot spring club in Beitou. Districts are administrative subdivisions of Taiwan's Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipalities of the second level and Provincial city (Taiwan), provincial cities of the third level formerly under its provinces. Beitou-Shilin Technology Park
The Beitou-Shilin Technology Park (BSTP; ) is an industrial park located in the Zhoumei area on the south side of Beitou District, Taipei City, Taiwan. Location Beitou-Shilin Technology Park covers an area of about . It is located at the junction of Beitou District and Shilin District, bordering on academic landmarks such as Taipei Children's Amusement Park, National Taiwan Science Education Center, and Taipei Astronomical Museum. Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant
The Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant () is an incinerator in Zhoumei Borough, Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The plant was originally established as the Shilin Refuse Incineration Plant on 1 July 1991. Zhong-zheng Senior High School (ZZSH or CCSH; ) is a public 3-year high school in Taipei City, Taiwan, Republic of China. It was created in 2021 through the merger of National Chiao Tung University and National Yang-Ming University.
