Beita, Nablus
Beita (, translation: "Home") is a Palestinian people, Palestinian town in the Nablus Governorate in the northern Israeli-occupied territories, Israeli-occupied West Bank located southeast of Nablus. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the town had a population of 11,682 in 2017. It consists of five clans which branch out to thirty families. There are many houses dating back to the Ancient Roman, Roman era. The current mayor, elected in 2004 is Arab ash-Shurafa. The town contains four mosques and three clinics. Since 1967, under the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, more than 77 Beita villagers have been shot dead by Israeli forces, many during protests, 7 were killed between May and September 2021 during the suppression of demonstrations against the establishment of an Israeli outpost on Beita lands. Beita Incident
The Beita incident was a confrontation that took place between Israeli settlers from Elon Moreh and Palestinian residents of Beita, on 6 April 1988. Three people were killed and several others wounded. Incident The incident occurred when a group of 15 teenagers from the Israeli settlement of Elon Moreh, north of Beita, had gone hiking during the Passover school holiday accompanied by a guide and two guards, Romam Aldube and Menachem Ilan. About 10 kilometres South of Elon Moreh, whilst on land belonging to Beita village, they came across a farmer, Mousa Saleh Bani Shamseh. After an exchange of words, Romam Aldube shot him dead. The group then continued into the village. Within the village a rumour had spread that the Israelis had come to poison the village well. A crowd gathered and confronted the group. Steven Mehrdad Beitashour ( ; , ; born February 1, 1987) is a former professional soccer player who played as a right-back. Born in the United States, he represented the Iran national team. Background Steven Beitashour was born to Edward and Pari Beitashour in San Jose, California, and played youth soccer for Fremont Fury. He has an older brother, Tony, and two sisters, Tina and Stephanie. His parents are both from Iran and moved to the United States in the 1960s. His father, an electrical engineer, played soccer for San Francisco State University before working for Apple. Beita District
Beita District () is one of three urban districts in Shaoyang City, Hunan province, China. The district is located in the northwest of the city proper and on the west shore of Zi River. It is bordered by Xinshao County to the north, Shuangqing and Daxiang Districts to the east, and Shaoyang County to the south and the southwest. Huanggu District
Huanggu District () is one of ten districts of the prefecture-level city of Shenyang, the capital of the Chinese province of Liaoning. It borders Shenbei New Area to the north, Dadong to the east, Shenhe to the southeast, Heping to the south, Tiexi to the southwest, and Yuhong to the west. Toponymy The district is named after Huanggutun ("tun" means village), where the Huanggutun Incident of 1928 took place.
