Beijing Olympic Committee
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, or BOCOG, also known as the Beijing Organizing Committee, was an informal name for the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. It was also the organizing committee for the Games of the XIII Paralympiad. The President of BOCOG was Liu Qi ( zh, s=刘淇, t=劉淇, p=Liú Qí), the then CPC secretary of Beijing Municipality. History On December 13, 2001, the Organizing Committee for the XXIX Olympiad was officially constituted, initially headquartered at the Xinqiao Hotel in Chongwenmen, which previously housed the Beijing Olympic bidding committee. On September 28, 2002, the office was transferred to the Qinglan Building in Dongsishitiao, and on January 19, 2006, it was moved to the Beijing Olympic Mansion on the North Fourth Ring Road. He Zhenliang (; 29 December 1929 – 4 January 2015) was a Chinese politician and diplomat. He served as vice-president of the International Olympic Committee, the chairman of the International Olympic Committee's Culture and Olympic Education Commission, the president of the Chinese Olympic Committee and an executive of the Organizing Committee for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Wang Wei (Traditional Chinese: 王維; Simplified Chinese: 王维, pinyin: ''Wáng Wéi'', 699–761) was a Chinese musician, painter, poet, and politician of the middle Tang dynasty. He is regarded as one of the most distinguished men of arts and letters of his era. About 400 of his poems survived and 29 of them are included in the 18th-century anthology ''Three Hundred Tang Poems''. A large portion of his finest poems drew inspirations from the local landscape.
