Beijing Lu Xun Museum
The Beijing Lu Xun Museum () is a museum in Fucheng Gate Avenue, Beijing, China. The buildings in which the museum situated at was Lu Xun's former Beijing residence. The writer's house museum was established in 1956. The museum is dedicated to Lu Xun's life and achievements and features large quantities of scripts, photos, pictures related to Lu. In addition to materials related to Lu Xun, the museum contains a large collection of artworks. Writer's House Museum
Writers' homes (sometimes writer's, author's or literary houses) are locations where writers lived. Lu Xun ( zh, c=魯迅, p=Lǔ Xùn, ; 25 September 188119 October 1936), pen name of Zhou Shuren, born Zhou Zhangshou, was a Chinese writer. A leading figure of modern Chinese literature, he wrote in both vernacular and literary Chinese as a novelist, literary critic, essayist, poet, translator and political commentator, known for his satirical, acerbic tone and critical reflections on Chinese history and culture. Lu was born into a declining family of landlords and scholar-officials in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Although he initially aspired to take the imperial examinations, his family’s limited financial means compelled him to attend government-funded schools that offered a "Western-style education." Situ Qiao
Situ Qiao (; 1902 – 16 February 1958) was a Chinese oil painter and graphic artist. An important member of the Lingnan School of art, he was also known for his friendship with the influential writer Lu Xun. His most famous work is the 1940 painting ''Put Down Your Whip''. Biography Situ Qiao was born to a poor family in Chikan, Kaiping, Guangdong province in 1902. His name at birth was Situ Qiaoxing (). His father was an amateur painter. In 1924, Situ entered the School of Theology of Yenching University in Beijing, but was more interested in painting. In 1926, he held his first personal exhibition, which was noticed by Lu Xun, who purchased his drawing '' Five Policemen and an O''. Chen Shizeng
Chen Shizeng (; March 2, 1876, in Fenghuang County, Fenghuang, Hunan – September 12, 1923, in Nanjing, Jiangsu), original name Chen Hengke, courtesy name Shizeng, art name Xiudaoren Xiuzhe, was a Chinese painting, Chinese painter and critic, painter, and educator of early 20th-century China. The Former Residence of Lu Xun in Shanghai () located at 9 Continental Terrace, Lane 132, Shanyin Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, China, is the former residence of Lu Xun (1881–1936), a noted Chinese writer. Lu lived in the house from 1933 to his death in 1936. History Lu settled in Shanghai in October 1927. Lu first lived in a house at 23 ''Jingyunli'' (), on Donghengbin Road, Hongkou District. He then moved to Room 2093 of the ''Beichuan Apartments'' (, formerly known as the Ramous Apartments) on North Sichuan Road. He moved the rented house at 9 Continental Terrace on April 11, 1933. Lu Xun Native Place (Simplify zh, 鲁迅故里, s=鲁迅故里, t=鲁迅故里, p=Luxun Guli) is the childhood home and neighborhood of Lu Xun.
