Beichen
Beichen District () is a district of the municipality of Tianjin, People's Republic of China. Before June 1992, the district was named ''Beijiao District'' (), reflecting its position in the northern suburbs of Tianjin. As the city expanded, it gradually became part of the urban core and was renamed to Beichen. The district occupies approximately , with a population of 320,000. China National Highway 103 goes through the heart of the district. Beichen District also hosts the North Canal (), a branch of the Hai River. Shuanghuancun Subdistrict
Shuanghuancun Subdistrict () is a subdistrict located in the southern part of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It is located to the south and west of Tianmu Town, east of Jiarongli Subdistrict, and southeast of Ruijing Subdistrict. It is home to a population of 35,348 as of 2010. The subdistrict used to be part of Hongqiao District. In 2020, it was transferred to the current Beichen District. Its name literally translates to "Two Ring Village". Shuangjie
Shuangjie Town () is a town inside of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It shares border with Huangzhuang Subdistrict and Xiazhuzhuang Town to the north, Dazhangzhuang Town to the east, Beicang Town to the south, and Shuangkou Town to the west. It has 54,564 inhabitants as of 2010. The name Shuangjie () came from Shuangjie Village, the seat of the town's government. The village was first established during the Ming Dynasty, and got its name for having two main streets in the early stage of formation. Geography Shuangjie Town is situated to the north of Yongdingxin River, with the Grand Canal passing through the west of the town. National Highway 103 also passes through the town. Qingyuan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict located on the western half of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It borders borders Beicang Town in its north, Guangyuan Subdistrict in its east, as well as Qingguang Town in its south and west. The subdistrict was created in 2013. Beicang Town () is one of the nine towns of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It shares border with Shuangjie and Dazhangzhuang Towns in its north, Xiaodian Town in its east, Guoyuanxincun and Jixianli Subdistricts in its southeast, Ruijing Subdistrict and Tianmu Town in its south, Qingyuan and Guangyuan Subdistricts in its southwest, as well as Qingguang and Shuangkou Towns in its west. Shuangkou
Shuangkou Town () is a town situated on the western side of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It is located in the south of Huangzhuang Subdistrict and Chenju Town, southwest of Shuangjie and Beicang Towns, west of Qingguang Town, north of Yangliuqing Town, as well as east of Wangqingtuo and Chagugang Towns. According to the 2010 Chinese Census, it has a population of 63,999. The name Shuangkou () came into existence in the Qing Dynasty, and was given for the settlement's location at the intersection of two waterways: Zhujiadian and Yedian. Dazhangzhuang Town () is a town situated inside of Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It shares a border with Meichang and Shangmatai Towns in its north, Xiditou Town in its east, Xiaodian Town in its south, as well as Shuangjie Town and Xiazhuzhuang Subdistrict in its west. It is home to 29,900 inhabitants in 2010. The town got its name Dazhangzhuang () from Dazhangzhuang village, the current administrative center of the town. The village can trace the origin of its name to its foundation during the Qing Dynasty, when the richest family in the settlement was the Zhang family. The Tianjin Metro or Tianjin Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Tianjin, which was the second city in mainland China after Beijing to operate a subway system (the Beijing Subway opened in 1971). Xiditou Town () is a town in the northern Beichen District, Tianjin, China. It shares a border with Shangmatai Town in the north, Panzhuang and Zaojiacheng Towns in the east, Huaming and Jinzhong Subdistricts in the south, as well as Dazhangzhuang and Xiaodian Towns in the west.
