Behrouz Kamalvandi (; born in Tehran) is an Iranian diplomat. He is currently the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). Injury On April 12, 2021 hours after an incident took place at the electricity distribution network of Shahid Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan nuclear facility in Natanz, Kamalvandi visited the site along with the head of the AEOI Ali Akbar Salehi and sustained an injury while doing an inspection. Atomic Energy Organization Of Iran
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) is the main Iranian government agency responsible for operating nuclear power, nuclear energy and nuclear fuel cycle installations in Iran. The AEOI is the primary organization responsible for nuclear technology research and development activities in Iran. The AEOI was involved in formerly undeclared nuclear activities including enrichment facilities at Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, Fordow and Natanz. Ali Akbar Salehi
Ali Akbar Salehi (, ; born 24 March 1949) is an Iranian academic, diplomat and former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, who served in this position from 2009 to 2010 and also from 2013 to 2021. He served for the first time as head of the AEOI from 2009 to 2010 and was appointed to the post for a second time on 16 August 2013. Before the appointment of his latter position, he was foreign affairs minister from 2010 to 2013. He was also the Iranian representative in the International Atomic Energy Agency from 1998 to 2003.
