Katharina Eleonore Behrend (July 22, 1888 – November 15, 1973) was a German-born Dutch photographer who is remembered for a wide variety of photographic genres including a nude self-portrait. Biography Born in Leipzig, she grew up in a well-to-do family as the daughter of Robert Behrend, a chemistry professor, later moving to Hanover. Tomas Ugo Behrend (born 12 December 1974) is a German former professional tennis player. His career high ATP singles ranking was World No. 74, which he attained in October 2005. Siegfried Behrend (19 November 1933 – 20 September 1990) was a German classical guitarist and composer. Biography Behrend was born in Berlin. He studied piano, harpsichord, conducting and composition at the Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory in Berlin and taught himself classical guitar. In 1953, he gave the first German performance of Rodrigo's '' Concierto de Aranjuez''. At the age of 30 he already was a world-renowned artist with this instrument, playing for the Shah of Persia, the Emperor of Japan and Gamal Abdel Nasser in Cairo. In 1962, he met singer Belina during the making of a TV Show and they endeavoured to create some musical projects together. Robert Behrend
Anton Friedrich Robert Behrend (17 December 1856 – 15 September 1926) was a German analytical organic chemist who made pioneering studies of stereochemistry and isomerism. He was also the first to synthesize uric acid and introduced potentiometric titration. The Behrend rearrangement reaction of nitrones is named after him. Behrend was born in Harburg to Karl, a trader and his wife Louise Elisabeth Margarethe Carol née Himbeck. He grew up in Hamburg. He joined the infantry regiment in 1876 and studied law for some time and then shifted to physics under Emil Gabriel Warburg. In 1877-78 he tried to study chemistry at Leipzig under Herman Kolbe but was not accepted as he knew nothing. Marc Behrend
Marc James Behrend (born January 11, 1961 in Madison, Wisconsin) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender who played 39 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season games with the Winnipeg Jets between 1984 and 1986. He was drafted by the Jets with the 85th pick overall in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Before turning professional, Behrend graduated from La Follette High School and was a member of the University of Wisconsin–Madison men's hockey team that won the NCAA championship in 1981 and 1983. Behrend was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player on both occasions, becoming only the second player in the history of the tournament to do so.
