	Begen Begen ( kk, Беген; russian: Бегень) is a settlement in Beskaragay District, Abai Region, Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of the Begen Rural District (KATO code — 633635100). 	Sormoildy Sormoildy or Sormoiyldy ( kk, Сормойылды; russian: Сормойылды) is a salt lake group in Beskaragay District, Abai Region, Kazakhstan. Sormoildy is located west of the Russia-Kazakhstan border. Koyanbay village lies to the northeast, Begen to the southwest and Beskaragay, the district capital, to the SSE. Malinovoye Ozero town is located to the northeast, on the other side of the Russian border. Geography Sormoildy is an endorheic lake cluster part of the Irtysh basin. It lies in a tectonic depression at the southern end of the Kulunda Plain. Lakes Tuz and Shoshkaly stretch roughly to the southwest, and lake Bargana to the NNW. 	Shoshkaly (Abai Region) Shoshkaly ( kk, Шошқалы; russian: Шошкалы) is a salt lake in Beskaragay District, Abai Region, Kazakhstan. The lake is located about west of the Russia-Kazakhstan border. Tosagash village lies to the north, Begen to the ESE and Beskaragay, the district capital, to the southeast. The border of Pavlodar Region stretches close to the northern lakeshore.
