Mark Beesley
Mark Anthony Beesley (born 5 December 1980) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. He is currently manager at Warrington Town having previously been assistant manager. Career Born in Burscough, Lancashire, Beesley began his career at the youth system of Preston North End before signing a professional contract on 26 June 1999. He subsequently spent three and a half seasons at Chester City. Beesley scored 16 times in the 2001–02 season to help Chester avoid relegation from the Football Conference, but by the start of the 2003–04 he was out of favour with manager Mark Wright. After a spell out on loan at Southport, Beesley was allowed to join Chester's title rivals Hereford United in December 2003. Jake Elliott Beesley (born 2 December 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Blackpool. He began his career at Chesterfield, progressing through the youth ranks and making his first-team debut in 2014. After seven Football League appearances over three years, partly spent on loan at Shaw Lane, he joined Salford City in 2017. After loan spells at Boston United and Bradford Park Avenue, he was loaned to Solihull Moors before joining on a permanent basis in 2020. John Alan Beesley (1927–2009) was a Canadian diplomat and civil servant. Early life Beesley was born in Smithers, British Columbia, on August 17, 1927. He was one of five children of Jack and Margaret Beesley. He had two brothers, Dr. Bernard Beesley and Flight Officer Terry Beesley (who died on D-Day). He had two sisters, Noreen Burvill and Elizabeth Beesley. He spent his early years in Williams Lake, Penticton and Kamloops. He graduated from Kamloops High School in 1945. He attended the University of British Columbia (UBC), graduating with a bachelor of arts and law degree in 1950. While attending UBC he was a founding member of the Jokers Club. Paul Beesley (born 21 July 1965) is an English former footballer who played primarily as a centre back. He began his career at Wigan Athletic in September 1984, before he was sold on to Leyton Orient for £175,000 in October 1989. He joined Sheffield United for £300,000 in July 1990, and was voted Player of the Year at the Premier League club in 1993. He was sold to Leeds United in August 1995 for a £250,000 fee, before moving on to Manchester City in February 1997 for £500,000. Education Beesley was educated at Derby School, where he was a scholar, and afterwards at Caius College, Cambridge, again as a scholar. Bradley Beesley is an American Independent film and video director, producer and cinematographer. Born in Oklahoma and based in Austin, Texas, he "has made a cinematic career documenting oddball Americana, strange sub-cultures and homegrown rock stars." Background Beesley has long been associated with the Oklahoma City-based alternative rock band The Flaming Lips, filming some promotional videos for the band's album Hit to Death in the Future Head.
