''Beehive Live'' is a live album by Paul Gilbert, formerly of the heavy metal band Racer X and the hard rock band Mr. Big. It was released in 1999. Track listing Notes * Many of the tracks appear on the ''Eleven Thousand Notes'' DVD. "Heavy Disco Trip", "Karn Evil 9", and "Bumblebee" are the only tunes missing * On the song "Tell the Truth", the band breaks into a blues riff that was originally heard on the song "Double Trouble" on Paul's first solo album King of Clubs. Paul Gilbert
Paul Brandon Gilbert (born November 6, 1966) is an American hard rock and heavy metal music, heavy metal guitarist. He is the co-founder of the band Mr. Big (American band), Mr. Big, and was also a member of Racer X (band), Racer X, with whom he released several albums. In 1996, Gilbert launched a solo career, for which he has released numerous solo albums, and featured in numerous collaborations and guest appearances on other musicians' albums. Gilbert was voted fourth-best on ''Guitar One'' magazine's 2007 "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shred guitar, Shredders of All Time". Alan Osmond
Alan Ralph Osmond (born June 22, 1949) is an American former singer and musician. He is best known for being a member of the family musical group The Osmonds. At the time, Alan (age 12) and his brothers were performing as the Osmond Brothers Boys' Quartet. Early life Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of Olive May (née Davis; 1925–2004) and George Virl Osmond (1917–2007). He was the oldest of the seven siblings who could sing, as the two oldest brothers, Virl and Tom, are hearing impaired. Jeff Martin (American Musician)
Jeffery Louis Martin is an American singer and drummer who has sung for the rock bands Racer X, Bad Dog, Surgical Steel and St. Michael and played drums for the bands Badlands, the Michael Schenker Group, Blindside Blues Band, Red Sea, St. Michael and The Electric Fence, a side project with Paul Gilbert and Russ Parrish. Jeff Martin played drums for Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Dokken, and P.K. Mitchell. Jeff became the new drummer of the Greg Golden Band in February 2023. Martin played drums in Surgical Steel before switching to lead vocals and was the drummer/lead vocalist for St. Michael, both of these being Phoenix, AZ-based bands that also featured his future Badlands bandmate Greg Chaisson. Billy Morris (guitarist)
Billy Morris is a guitarist who has played in several bands including Warrant, Quiet Riot, Kidd Wicked, Spoyld, Beast, The Glorious Things, and the Billy Morris Band. He guested with the band St. James, and has also played with former Mr. Big guitarist Paul Gilbert. With Warrant, he produced and played on the album '' Under the Influence'', on which he sang lead vocals on the cover of AC/DC's "Down Payment Blues", as well as playing guitar on the whole album. The bands The Glorious Things and St. James both also featured former Warrant singer Jaime St. James. Peter John Sinfield (27 December 1943 – 14 November 2024) was an English poet and songwriter. He was best known as a co-founder and lyricist of King Crimson. Their debut album '' In the Court of the Crimson King'' is considered one of the first and most influential progressive rock albums ever released. Sinfield's lyrics are known for their surreal imagery, often involving common fantasy concepts, nature, or the sea. They often also deal with emotional concepts and, sometimes, storyline concepts. Later in his career, he adapted his songwriting to better suit pop music, and wrote a number of successful songs for artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Five Star, and Bucks Fizz. Greg Lake
Gregory Stuart Lake (10 November 1947 – 7 December 2016) was an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He gained prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock bands King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP). Born and brought up in Dorset, Lake began to play the guitar at the age of 12 and wrote his first song, "Lucky Man (Emerson, Lake & Palmer song), Lucky Man", at the same age. He became a full-time musician at 17, playing in several rock bands until his friend and fellow Dorset guitarist Robert Fripp invited him to join King Crimson as lead singer and bassist. Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 194411 March 2016) was an English keyboardist, songwriter, composer and record producer. He played keyboards in a number of bands before finding his first commercial success with the Nice in the late 1960s. He became internationally famous for his work with the Nice, which included writing rock arrangements of classical music. After leaving the Nice in 1970, he was a founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), one of the early progressive rock supergroups. Emerson, Lake & Palmer (informally known as ELP) were an English progressive rock Supergroup (music), supergroup formed in London in 1970. "Karn Evil 9" is an extended work by progressive rock group Emerson, Lake & Palmer, appearing on the album ''Brain Salad Surgery''. A futuristic fusion of rock and classical themes, it was written by band members Keith Emerson and Greg Lake with former King Crimson lyricist Peter Sinfield. It is the fifth and final track on ''Brain Salad Surgery'' and, with a running length of 29 minutes and 37 seconds, is Emerson, Lake & Palmer's longest studio recording. The initial release of the album on vinyl split "Karn Evil 9" between the two sides due to its length, with a fade out/fade in between First Impression Parts 1 and 2. Eric Lee Martin (born October 10, 1960) is an American rock singer who was active throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, both as solo artist and as a member of various bands. He rose to prominence as the frontman for the hard rock band Mr. Big (American band), Mr. Big, which scored a big hit in the early 1990s with "To Be with You", a song that Martin wrote during his teen years. Early years Eric Martin was born on October 10, 1960 to Frederick Lee "Pepper" Martin and Iris Martin. His father was from Cincinnati, Ohio, having been a drummer and was stationed in the military.
