''Beautiful Michoacán'' (Spanish language, Spanish: ''¡Qué lindo es Michoacán!'') is a 1943 Mexican musical film, musical comedy film directed by Ismael Rodríguez and starring Tito Guízar, Gloria Marín and Víctor Manuel Mendoza.Hellier-Tinoco p.282 It was shot at the Clasa Studios in Mexico City and location shooting, on location around Michoacán. The film's sets were designed by the art director Ramón Rodríguez Granada. Synopsis A wealthy woman travels to Michoacán where she has inherited an estate. Ismael Rodríguez
Ismael Rodríguez (October 19, 1917 – August 7, 2004) was a Mexican film director. Rodríguez rose to fame due to the movies he directed starring Pedro Infante, and directed many major stars, including Dolores del Río, María Félix, Toshiro Mifune, Jorge Negrete, Sara García, Luis Aguilar, Tito Guízar, Gloria Marín, Carmelita González, Antonio Aguilar, Columba Domínguez and Flor Silvestre. He directed the film ''Ánimas Trujano (film), Ánimas Trujano'' (1961) for which he was nominated for an Academy Awards, Oscar for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film. Rodríguez's most renowned international film is ''Tizoc (film), Tizoc'', in which Pedro Infante starred alongside María Félix. For this role, Infante won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. He died on 7 August 2004 at the age of 87. Selected filmography References External links

Manuel Noriega (actor)
Manuel "Manolo" Noriega, (June 24, 1880 – August 12, 1961) was a Spanish-born Mexican stage and film actor, screenwriter, and film director. Born Manuel Noriega Ruiz in Colombres, Spain, he worked in live theatre for many years, performing in his native Spain as well as in Mexico, Cuba and the United States. A pioneer in silent film, he made his first screen appearance in 1907. It is believed some of his early silent films have been lost, but his main body of work began in talkies in the early 1930s, performing in close to two hundred sound films. Noriega earned an Ariel Award nomination for "Best Actor in a minor role" for his performance in the 1946 film ''Pepita Jiménez''. Married to Hortensia Castañeda Avila, their daughter Carmen became a singer who married Tito Guízar.
