Beautiful (Vivian Green Album)
''Beautiful'' is the third studio album by American singer Vivian Green. It was released by E1 Music on April 6, 2010 in the United States. Her first album after her departure from Columbia Records, on which she released her first two albums, Green reteamed with longtime friend and collaborator Anthony Bell to work on ''Beautiful'', with addition production provided by Jason Farmer. Title track "Beautiful" served the album's leading single and was released February 23, 2010. The song entitled "Jordan's Song" is also a dedication to her son. Critical reception Allmusic editor Andy Kellman found that "though it arrives almost five years after her previous album and was made on a significantly lower budget, it won’t throw anyone for a loop, as it sounds just like a Vivian Green album, one that deals with a fair amount of heartache as well as the rush that comes with finding new love. Vivian Sakiyyah Green (born May 22, 1979) is an American R&B singer-songwriter and pianist. Early life Green was born May 22, 1979, in the East Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia. The Green home was filled with the sounds of ''Motown,'' jazz, and ''Broadway Musicals.'' Green began singing at age 5, played the piano by ear at 8, and wrote her first song at 11. At the age of thirteen, she became a member of a female quintet called Younique who performed at local events and festivals. In high school Green co-wrote "Dear God" by Boyz II Men, from their 1997 double-platinum album, ''Evolution''.She is a graduate of what is now Parkway Northwest High School for Peace and Social Justice. Finishing high school in 3 years, Green immediately began to sing professionally on the local party circuit with the ''Sid Miller Orchestra'' and ''CTO.'' The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip-hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Luminate. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965, in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. It then went through several name changes, being known as Soul LPs in the 1970s and Top Black Albums in the 1980s, before returning to the R&B identification in 1990 and affixing a hip hop designation in 1999 to reflect the latter's growing sales and relationship to R&B during the decade. Sicklerville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Winslow Township in Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was founded in 1851 by John Sickler, who lived in the area when the present-day town was located within Gloucester Township. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08081. History In 1874, the Sicklerville Post Office was established. Paul H. Sickler (his descendants still live in Winslow Township) was appointed the first Postmaster.
