Beau Bokan
Beau Mark Bokan (born November 30, 1981) is an American singer best known as the vocalist of the metalcore band Blessthefall and the former vocalist of Take the Crown. Background In September 2008, Bokan joined Blessthefall as the vocalist to replace Craig Mabbitt, who left the band due to personal differences and later joined Escape the Fate. Bokan recorded five studio albums with Blessthefall before their hiatus in 2020. However, the band returned in May 2023, releasing their first song in five years, "Wake the Dead", in the same month. Personal life Bokan is of half Mexican descent. He married Canadian electro-pop singer Lights on May 12, 2012. On November 4, 2013, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. On February 15, 2014, Lights gave birth to a daughter. Bokan is Roman Catholic. He follows a straight edge lifestyle and has been a vegetarian since 2017. Straight edge (sometimes abbreviated as sXe or signified by XXX or simply X) is a subculture of hardcore punk whose adherents refrain from using alcohol, tobacco, and other recreational drugs in reaction to the punk subculture's excesses. Some adherents refrain from engaging in promiscuous or casual sex, follow a vegetarian or vegan diet and do not consume caffeine or prescription drugs. The term "straight edge" was adopted from the 1981 song " Straight Edge" by the hardcore punk band Minor Threat. The straight-edge subculture emerged amid the early-1980s hardcore punk scene. Brandon Allen Bolmer is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, and visual artist. Career Yesterdays Rising (2002–2010) Brandon was the original and only vocalist of Yesterdays Rising, being a founding member along with Richie Ochoa (guitar), Jamie Ethridge (drums), Justin Panno (bass guitar), and Jon Bloom (guitar), who formed in 2002. Alex Varkatzas (born January 17, 1982) is an American musician, best known as the former lead vocalist of metalcore band Atreyu from its inception in 1998 until his departure from the band in 2020. In 2011, during the band's hiatus, Varkatzas also started a hardcore project with Bleeding Through vocalist Brandan Schieppati named I Am War. He is currently the vocalist for Dead Icarus. Greeley Estates was an American metalcore band from Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2002, the band released five full-length studio albums and four EPs. The group initially had an emo-influenced post-hardcore sound, but later shifted to the metalcore genre with their third studio album '' Go West Young Man, Let the Evil Go East'' (2008). Greeley Estates signed to Tragic Hero Records and Ferret Music in 2009 and released their fourth full-length album '' No Rain, No Rainbow'' in 2010, which features an even heavier sound.
