Beatriz Alfonso Nogue
Beatriz Alfonso Nogue (May 7, 1968 – December 30, 2019) was a Spanish female chess player, a WFM, Woman FIDE Master. She was the national champion in 1990 in Benasque, Huesca. She was born in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. She won the Women's Champion of Catalonia in chess three times, in the years 1990, 1996 and 2012, and was runner-up three times in 1986, 1989 and 1995. Santa Coloma De Gramenet
Santa Coloma de Gramenet (), informally simply known as Santa Coloma, and formerly as ''Gramenet de Besòs'' between 1936 and 1939, is a municipality in Barcelonès county, in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the south-east side of the Catalan Coastal Range, coastal range, with the Puig Castellar (299 m) as its highest point, on the left bank of the Besòs river: the municipalities of Sant Adrià de Besòs and Badalona separate it from the coast. FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Titles generally require a combination of Elo rating and norms (performance benchmarks in competitions including other titled players).
