Beachlands Victoria Open
The Victoria Open is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour Americas. It was previously a stop on the PGA Tour Canada before its merger with the PGA Tour Latinoamérica. It was the longest running tour event on the Canadian Tour. It has been played at several different courses in the Victoria, British Columbia area, and at the Uplands Golf Club in Oak Bay, British Columbia, Oak Bay since 2008. Originally played as the Victoria Open in 1981, the tournament was revived in 1984 as a stop on the PGA Tour's satellite Tournament Players Series. That series ended after the 1985 season, and the Victoria Open then became a fixture on the Canadian Tour, where it had many different sponsored titles. Stephen Gangluff
Stephen O. Gangluff (born September 6, 1975) is an American professional golfer. Gangluff was born in Marysville, Ohio. He played college golf at Ohio State University. He turned professional in 1996. Gangluff played on the Nationwide Tour in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2011. His best finish was T-3 at the 2007 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. He also played on the Canadian Tour, winning three times and leading the Order of Merit in 2006. He played on the PGA Tour in 2002 and 2012, both times earning his card through Qualifying school, Q School. His best finish is T-19 at the 2002 FedEx St. Jude Classic. Jason Bohn
Jason Duehn Bohn (born April 24, 1973) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. He won two PGA Tour events. Amateur career Bohn was born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1992, while a sophomore on the Alabama golf team, Bohn was playing in a charity fund-raiser in Tuscaloosa when he made a hole-in-one worth $1 million. Bohn dropped his amateur status and golf scholarship on the spot and turned professional. He graduated from Alabama in 1995. Paul Devenport
Paul Dale Devenport (born 19 March 1966) is a professional golfer from New Zealand. Early life and amateur career Devenport was born in Wellington, New Zealand. He grew up in Paraparaumu Beach where his house backed onto the 13th hole of the Paraparaumu Beach Club. After playing amateur golf in Wellington, he was offered a full golf scholarship from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas. He later transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to finish his Business Degree. Professional career In 1991, Devenport turned pro. He joined the PGA Tour of Australasia in 1993 but has had most success on the Canadian Tour where he has won four times, including twice in 2001. Scott Hend
Scott Robert Hend (born 1973) is an Australian professional golfer who has played on a number of the world's main tours. He is renowned as a long hitter. Professional career Hend turned professional in 1997 and joined the PGA Tour of Australasia. He has since played on most of the major golf tours around the world. He has won three times in Australia, and was the inaugural winner of the Von Nida Tour Order of Merit in 2003. He has also won on the Canadian Tour, at the 2002 Victoria Open. David Hearn (golfer)
David Geoffrey Hearn (born June 17, 1979) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has also played on the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour and the Asian Tour. Hearn was born in Brampton, Ontario. He attended the University of Wyoming, where he played on the golf team. Mike Grob (born May 6, 1964) is an American professional golfer. He attended the University of Arkansas and has been a member of the PGA Tour, Web.com Tour, and Canadian Tour. Amateur career Grob won the Montana Amateur in 1983, 1984, and 1985. Spencer Levin
Spencer Joseph Levin (born June 15, 1984) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. Early years and amateur career Levin was born in Sacramento, California, the son of Carlene (Rossi) and Don Levin. His mother is a cousin of football official Mike Pereira.
