William Asher
William Milton Asher (August 8, 1921 – July 16, 2012) was an American television and film producer, film director, and screenwriter. He was one of the most prolific early television directors, producing or directing over two dozen series. With television in its infancy, Asher introduced the sitcom ''Our Miss Brooks'', which was adapted from a radio show. He began directing ''I Love Lucy'' by 1952. As a result of his early success, Asher was considered an "early wunderkind of TV-land," and was hyperbolically credited in one magazine article with "inventing" the sitcom. Bob Payne is an American retired puppeteer and puppet builder. He is also known as Robert Payne and Bobby Payne. History Payne, a native of Washington, D.C., was a college friend of Jim Henson and Jane Henson. He first worked with them on Jim Henson's show '' Sam and Friends'' as a backup puppeteer. He took part in some of Jim Henson's advertising where he was the principal performer of the Mirinda Craver from the '' Mirinda'' commercials. Valora Noland (born Valor Baum; December 8, 1941 – March 27, 2022) was an American actress, notable for her 1960s movie and television work, and, in her later years, photographer and author. Biography Noland was born in Seattle, as Valor Baum, on December 8, 1941, the day after Pearl Harbor. Her mother named her "Valor", inspired by a speech by Winston Churchill. Her family moved from Seattle to the countryside near Santa Cruz, California in 1943. Sometime around 1959 she decided to become an actress. After graduating from Santa Cruz High School, she was accepted by the Pasadena Playhouse and, while studying there for a year and a half, settled on "Valora Noland" for her stage name and moved to Hollywood.
