Vadim Gennadiyevich Baykov (Baikov; ; born 18 March 1965 in Volgograd, RSFSR, USSR) is a Soviet and Russian composer, singer, song-writer and producer. Biography In 1970, Vadim Baykov and his mother moved from Volgograd to Klimovsk, Moscow Oblast. In 1972, he entered to the Moscow State Choir Specialized School. Since 1978, Vadim Baykov participated in various VIA bands such as "Rhythm", "Impulse" etc., where he played on keyboards. In 1985, Vadim Baykov finished 2nd Moscow Regional School of Music in piano and jazz. Has a second specialty – choir conductor. From 1982 to 1984, Vadim Baykov participated as a pianist in various jazz festivals. From 1985 to 1987, Vadim Baykov worked in VIA bands such as "Marie", "August", "Leysya, Pesnya". In 1987, he became the lead singer of the band "Spectr" under the guidance of Lev Leshchenko. Evgenia Vasilievna Baykova (; November 22, 1907 – 1997) was a Russian Soviet realist painter and graphic artist, who lived and worked in Saint Petersburg (formerly Leningrad). She was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (known before 1992 as the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation), regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad School of Painting. Alexander Alexandrovich Baykov (; August 6, 1870 – April 6, 1946) was a Soviet university professor, scientist specializing in the fields of metallurgy and chemistry and an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, USSR Academy of Sciences. Early life and education Baykov was born on August 6, 1870, in the city of Fatezh of the Russian Empire. In 1889 he graduated from the Classical Gymnasium in Kursk and entered the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics in Saint Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg University. He was left to work at the university at the Department of Physical Chemistry in 1894 and was appointed laboratory assistant in chemistry as assistant to :ru:Коновалов, Дмитрий Петрович, DP Konovalov. Fyodor Baykov
Fyodor Isakovich Baykov (, c. 1612 – c. 1663) was the first Russian envoy to China (1658). Like many later Russian ambassadors to China ( Nicolae Milescu, Sava Vladislavich) he left a detailed account of his journey. In 1654 Tsar Alexis sent Baykov to the court of the Shunzhi Emperor to negotiate a treaty establishing regular trade between Moscow and Beijing. (The first Russian to reach Peking was probably Ivan Petlin in 1618, but he was not properly an ambassador.) At this time the Manchu Qing Dynasty had just been established and Russian adventurers had just entered the Amur River valley from the north, but the Manchus apparently did not understand that these barbarians from beyond Mongolia were the same as those who were raiding their northern frontier.
