Bay State Breakers
The Bay State Breakers were a Tier III junior ice hockey organization in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The organization played home games at The Bog Ice Arena in Kingston, Massachusetts. Since 2017, the Breakers is solely a youth hockey organization composed of teams competing in the Eastern Hockey Federation, the USPHL's youth divisions, the EHF Selects, the New England Girls League and the Eastern Minor Hockey League with teams ranging from age 6 through 18. The program is operated within the Rockland Ice Rink although it utilizes a number of other local facilities, such as The Bog Ice Arena, Hobomock Arenas, Quincy Shea, and Bavis Arena. Rockland, Massachusetts
Rockland is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 17,803 at the 2020 census. As of December 31, 2009, there were 11,809 registered voters in the community. History Rockland was a part of territory given to one Timothy Hatherly in a land grant, later known as the Hatherly Grant, in 1654. It was then populated by European settlers as a northeastern region of the neighboring town Abington in 1673. The town separated and incorporated as Rockland on March 9, 1874. It is named for the town's rocky nature, which was better suited for mills and industry than for farming. During King Philip's War, the town was the site of an encampment during his raids on the town of Scituate. The Philadelphia Flyers Junior Hockey Club (also known as the Philadelphia Flyers Elite or the USPHL Flyers) were a Tier III junior ice hockey team in the United States Premier Hockey League Premier Division. The franchise was originally based in Voorhees, New Jersey, at the Flyers Skate Zone. In 2017, the franchise was sold to Delaware Hockey, LLC and it became the Lightning Hockey Club with plans to play in the USPHL's 2017–18 season out of Newark, Delaware. The team was removed from the league's member list in September 2017 prior to ever playing a game. The Jersey Hitmen are a junior and youth ice hockey organization with teams in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), with its top level junior team playing in the USPHL's National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). The organization also has junior teams in the USPHL's Premier and Elite Divisions, as well as multiple youth teams from 10U to 18U. The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is an American ice hockey league. Founded in 2012, the USPHL has grown to over 60 organizations from across the United States fielding teams in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), Premier, Elite, EHF, 18U, 16U, 15U, and High Performance youth divisions. From 2013 to 2017, USA Hockey sanctioned the Premier, Elite, Empire, Midwest, and USP3 Divisions as Tier III junior leagues. In 2017, the USPHL added a higher level junior league named the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) for the 2017–18 season. The NCDC was seeking free-to-play Tier II junior league sanctioning, but was denied by USA Hockey. In response, the USPHL junior level leagues withdrew from USA Hockey sanctioning altogether.
