Under 15 Bayernliga
The Under 15 Bayernliga (German: ''C-Jugend Bayernliga'') is the highest level of competition for under 15 football teams in Bavaria and the second tier of the Southern German league system, set below the '' Under 15 Regionalliga Süd''. History The competition was established in 1975, as a championship rather than a league, alongside the Bavarian Under 17 championship. Since then, the winner of the competition is determined by an on-off final. To qualify for the championship, a club had to win one of the seven ''Bezirksoberligas'' in Bavaria, the highest football leagues at this level and age. The seven champions played a quarter final round with home-and-away games, whereby six clubs are drawn against each other for three games. The three winners plus the team that had a bye in this round reach the semi-finals, now played at a neutral ground. The two semi-finals winner enter the Bavarian championship final. The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria () and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. From the 2012–13 season onwards, the league has been divided once more into a northern and a southern division, having previously placed in single division format since 1963. The Bavarian Cup (), was created in 1998 and functions as a qualifying competition to the German Cup. It is one of the 21 regional cups in Germany. It is one of three regional associations who are permitted to send two amateur teams to the DFB Cup, the three associations doing so being the largest. The Bavarian football league system of the Bavarian Football Association ranks within the German football league system.
