Battlestar ''Galactica'' is a fictional space battleship based in the science fiction television series of the same name. In the original 1978 series, it was implied there were 12 Battlestars, one for each of the Twelve Colonies. However, in the reimagined series from 2003, the colonial fleet had about 120 Battlestars by the time of the Cylons' surprise attack on the colonies. ''Battlestar Galactica'' is an American science fiction on television, science fiction television series created by Glen A. Larson that aired on the American Broadcasting Company, ABC network from September 17, 1978, to April 29, 1979. It stars an ensemble cast led by Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch (actor), Richard Hatch, and Dirk Benedict. The series follows a group of humans fleeing the destruction of their homeworlds aboard the Battlestar Galactica (fictional spacecraft), titular spacecraft, searching for a new home while being pursued by the Cylons, a fearsome society of robots intent on exterminating all humans. "The Passage" is the tenth episode of the third season from the science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica''. It aired on December 8, 2006. The episode is notable for its special effects and action sequences, reminiscent of Season 1. Plot The fleet's food supply has been contaminated, forcing everyone to subsist on rapidly dwindling food rations. Athena, who has been doing reconnaissance, discovers a planet where abundant algae is found that can be used as a nutritious, if unappetizing, food source. Unfortunately, the planet is located on the other side of a vast, highly radioactive star cluster that is too big to go around. The fleet must cross the cluster or risk starvation. Because of the size of the cluster, each ship must jump to a point within it before jumping again to the planet. Leland Joseph "Lee" Adama ( callsign "Apollo") is a fictional character in the television series '' Battlestar Galactica''. "Torn" is the sixth episode of the third season from the science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica''. "A Measure of Salvation" is the seventh episode of the third season from the science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica''. Plot Major Apollo leads a boarding team inside the ship finding most of the Cylons are dead, however, a small group is found barely alive on the bridge. The landing team also finds the mysterious cylinder device. Sharon "Athena" Agathon tries to access the Basestar's computer system to no avail. Number Six is a family of fictional characters from the reimagined science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series), Battlestar Galactica''.
