Battleground Earth
''Battleground Earth'' was a 2008 television series on Planet Green hosted by rock star Tommy Lee and rapper Ludacris. Show premise The series is set on the road in a 10-city tour across America, in which Ludacris and Tommy Lee (and their respective teams) battle against each other to see who can keep their act “more green”. Throughout the tour they also battle to get the word out about the state of the environment. The battle culminates in a “green” carpet benefit concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The winner of the 10-part battle gets to headline the concert while the loser faces shame as the opening act. The concert raised over $33,000 including a donation from Treeland, benefiting the renewal of Griffith Park which was devastated by recent wildfires. Slash (musician)
Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), better known as Slash, is a British-American musician who is best known as the lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Slash has received critical acclaim and is considered one of the greatest guitarists in history. Born in Hampstead, London, Slash moved to Los Angeles with his father when he was five years old. Johnny Colt
Johnny Colt (born Charles Brandt; May 1, 1966) is an American bass guitar player who formerly played with the southern rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Black Crowes. Music career From 1989 he was the original bassist for The Black Crowes which formed in Atlanta, Georgia. Colt played on four full-length albums with the band and toured extensively. After leaving the Black Crowes in 1997 he went on to form the Brand New Immortals with guitarist David Ryan Harris and drummer Kenny Cresswell. Colt played bass for the American modern rock band Train from 2003–2006. In addition he joined Tommy Lee, becoming the permanent replacement for Jason Newsted (formerly of Metallica) in the band Rock Star Supernova. Rock Star Supernova was a reality television-formed supergroup consisting of drummer Tommy Lee, bassist Jason Newsted, guitarist Gilby Clarke, and singer Lukas Rossi. The Doors
The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They were among the most controversial and influential rock acts of the 1960s, partly due to Morrison's lyrics and voice, along with his erratic stage persona. Robby Krieger
Robert Alan Krieger (born January 8, 1946) is an American guitarist and founding member of the rock band the Doors. Krieger wrote or co-wrote many of the Doors' songs, including the hits " Light My Fire", " Love Me Two Times", " Touch Me", and " Love Her Madly". When the Doors disbanded following the death of lead singer Jim Morrison, Krieger continued to perform and record with other musicians including former Doors bandmates John Densmore and Ray Manzarek.
