Battle Racers
is a 1995 video game for the Super Famicom that was released to an exclusively Japanese market. This video game combines the futuristic elements of ''F-Zero'' with the whimsical elements of ''Super Mario Kart''. Players can select from various tracks and confront numerous dead ends and alternate turns. There are six drivers in a race and all the menus are in Japanese. The four main characters of the game are: Ultraman Powered (from the Ultra Series), Kamen Rider ZO (from the Kamen Rider franchise), Battle Knight Gundam F-91 (from the Gundam franchise) and Banpresto original character Fighter Roar. (formerly Coreland Technology Inc.) was a Japanese video game developer and publisher headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. It had a branch in Hong Kong named Banpresto H.K., which was headquartered in the New Territories. Banpresto was a partly-owned subsidiary of toymaker Bandai from 1989 to 2006, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings from 2006 to 2008. The Super Nintendo has a library of games, which were released in plastic encased ROM cartridges. The cartridges are shaped differently for different regions; North American cartridges have a rectangular bottom with inset grooves matching protruding tabs in the console, while other regions' cartridges are narrower with a smooth curve on the front and no grooves. The physical incompatibility can be overcome with use of various adapters, or through modification of the console.
