Batingan, officially Barangay Batingan is one of the mainland barangays of Binangonan, in the province of Rizal. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 16,280. This represented 5.19% of the total population of Binangonan. History Batingan is known to be a rapidly developing barangay, it has contributed a large portion in the local economy of Binangonan. Education Batingan currently does not have any public elementary school, though it only has one public high school. Namely, Rizal National Science High School (RiSci). Batingan also has several private schools such as D, Spring of Wisdom Learning Center, Binangonan Garden of Learners, Child Jesus of Prague School (Batingan Campus), and Shining Light Christian College Inc. 2015 Philippine Census
The 2015 Census of Population (POPCEN 2015) was the fourteenth census in the Philippines and the first census conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority. Background The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was formed from the merger of the National Statistics Office and three other major statistical government agencies by virtue of Republic Act 10625, or the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013. The same law obliges the PSA to conduct the national censuses in the Philippines starting with the 2015 census. 90,000 enumerators and 23,000 supervisors were employed for the conduct of the census. Enumerators made house-to-house visits and institutional surveys for the census. The census began on August 10, 2015. The census was criticized by the National Council on Disability Affairs for excluding questions regarding disability. Layunan, officially Barangay Layunan is one of the mainland barangays of Binangonan, in the province of Rizal. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 2,575. This represented 0.82% of the total population of Binangonan. History Layunan is part of the Poblacion barangays together with Barangay Libid and Libis. Education Layunan currently does not hold any public high school, though it only has one public elementary school. Namely, the Binangonan Elementary School. Layunan also has a private school, the Bon Jasper Angels Academy School. Festivals Layunan shares a festival with Barangays Calumpang, Libis and Libid. The barangay celebrates the annual town festival of Binangonan, Santa Ursula being its patron. Mambog, officially Barangay Mambog is one of the mainland barangays of Binangonan, in the province of Rizal (province), Rizal. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 11,372. This represented 3.63% of the total population of Binangonan. History In 1898, the people of Mambog planned attacks against invading Americans. They've intercepted horse riding Americans killing 12 of them. In retaliation, Americans captured native males and turned the place into a concentration camp. The population of Mambog grew from 2,365 in 1990 to 11,372 in 2020, an increase of 9,007 people over the course of 30 years. The figures in 2020 denote a growth rate of 2.77%, or an increase of 1,384 people, from the previous population of 9,988 in 2015.
