Agus Basuki bin Suwito Hadiwiryono (5 March 1956 – 12 December 2007), or mononymously known as Basuki, was an Indonesian actor and comedian. He was a member of the Indonesian comedy troupe, Srimulat. However, he became famous after appearing in the program, '' Si Doel Anak Sekolahan'' in the 1990s. He was also famous for creating a jingle called "Wes Ewes Ewes Bablas Angine" for a traditional medicine commercial. Basuki collapsed following a game of futsal on 12 December 2007. Fransiskus Xaverius Basuki Abdullah (born Muhammad Basuki Abdullah, 25 January 1915 – 5 November 1993) was an Indonesian painter and a convert to Roman Catholicism from Islam. His work is characterized as realism and has been exhibited in the Indonesian National Gallery. He received formal training in The Hague. During the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies he was an art teacher. After the war he became known internationally, winning an art contest on the occasion of the accession in the Netherlands of Queen Juliana. His status in Indonesia provided an opportunity to paint the official portrait of President Suharto. Major General (Retired, Ret) Basuki Rahmat (4 November 1921 – 8 January 1969) was an Indonesian general, National Hero of Indonesia, National Hero and a witness to the signing of the Supersemar document transferring power from President Sukarno to General Suharto. He was born in Tuban, East Java, and became a source of great pride for its people. His name has been commemorated as the name of a major street in nearly every city in Indonesia. Early life Basuki Rahmat was born on 4 November 1921 in Tuban, East Java. His father, Raden Soedarsono Soenodihardjo, was assistant to a local district chief. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (, Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Chûng Van-ho̍k''; born 29 June 1966) is an Indonesian businessman, politician, and former governor of Jakarta. He is colloquially known by his Hakka Chinese name, Ahok (). He was the first ethnic Chinese governor of Jakarta and the first non-Austronesian governor of Jakarta and also of the Evangelical faith, following Henk Ngantung, who was the sole Catholic and Austronesian Minahasan governor to hold office from 1964–65. Mochamad Basuki Hadimuljono (born 5 November 1954) is an Indonesian bureaucrat who is the current Head of The Nusantara Capital City Authority and was the former Minister of Public Works and Public Housing under Joko Widodo. Before his appointment as minister, he had worked for the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works for nine years. Basuki was born in Surakarta; his father was a member of the Indonesian Army. After obtaining his bachelor's from Gadjah Mada University in 1979, he moved into the ministry of public works and began his career there.
