Bastian Pedersen (born 28 April 2006) is an international Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider from Denmark. Speedway career In 2023, Pedersen rode for Holsted Tigers during the 2023 Danish speedway season and for KS Toruń (U24) during the 2023 Polish speedway season. Pedersen came to prominence when he represented the Denmark national speedway team during the European Team Speedway Championship in 2024 and was part of the team that won the silver medal. Also in 2024, Pedersen qualified for the final series of the 2024 SGP2 (the World U21 Championship) and won the bronze medal at the 2024 European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship. References

Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of soil, dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). The 2023 Polish Speedway season was the 2023 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. The season ran from 8 April to 8 October. Denmark is one of the major teams in international speedway. They are managed by Denmark's most successful speedway rider, four time Individual World Champion Hans Nielsen and the current captain is Niels-Kristian Iversen. 2024 SGP2
The 2024 SGP2 series will be the 48th edition of the FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. It will once again be staged as the SGP2 class of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series after rights holders Discovery Sports Events took over promotional rights of the competition in 2022. The three qualifying rounds were staged at Mâcon, Terenzano and Ludwigslust on 8 June. Participant riders were named by national federations, with a pre-qualifier staged by the DMU for Danish riders and the Polish Silver Helmet acting as a qualifier for Polish riders. The top four riders from each qualifying meeting progressed to the main SGP2 series. 2024 European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship
The 2024 European Under 23 Team Speedway Championship is the 17th Team Speedway Junior European Championship season. It was organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and was the fourth time that the event had an age limit of under 23 years of age. The qualifying round was held at the Svítkov Stadium in Pardubice on 20 April. The Czech Republic won the qualifier with 50 points, Great Britain (35), France (20) and Germany (14) were all eliminated.
