Bastelstunde (Austrian Public Radio)
''Die Bastelstunde'' (meaning ''Bricolage Hour'' or ''Hobby Hour'') was a radio hobby show that aired on Austrian radio from 1929 to 1952. ''Bastelstunde'' appears to have been, globally, the first such radio show in which the moderator was building and explaining certain technical and craft projects. The show aired first on RAVAG (Radio Vienna), RAVAG Vienna on 8 October 1929, before being taken over by ORF (broadcaster), ORF Radio and was geared towards "children and other bastlers". During the time of Anschluss, when Austria was annexed to Germany from 1938 to 1945, ''Bastelstunde'' was taken over by Nazi German radio and its content was adapted to the craft bricolage needs of soldiers. Ernst Grissemann
Ernst Grissemann (18 February 1934 – 6 January 2023) was an Austrian radio host, journalist, and actor. Biography Grissemann began his career in radio in 1954 with in the French occupation of Austria. The following year, the station was absorbed by ORF. In 1967, Grissemann moved to Vienna at the invitation of , with whom he co-founded Ö3 and Ö1. From 1979 to 1990, he served as director of ORF. From 1990 to 1994, he was director of Radio Tirol before once again directing ORF in November 1994. ''Radio-Electronics'' was an American electronics magazine that was published under various titles from 1929 to 2003. Hugo Gernsback, sometimes called the father of science fiction, started it as ''Radio-Craft'' in July 1929. The title was changed to ''Radio-Electronics'' in October 1948 and again to ''Electronics Now'' in July 1992. Radio Wien is the regional radio for Vienna, and is part of the Österreich 2 group. It is broadcast by the ORF, and the programs from Radio Wien are made in the ORF Wien Studio. ''Am Dam Des'' was a children's television series produced at the ORF studios in Vienna, Austria between 1975 and 1993. It was screened weekdays on ORF 1. This live-action show was presented as 25-minute episodes, with an educational theme and different sections, hosted by Thomas Brezina, , , Ingrid Riegler, Edith Rolles and Kurt Shalaby. They entertained children with poetry, stories, arts and crafts and various games.
