Basra Specialized Spherical School
Basra Specialized Football School (BSFS) was opened on the recommendation of Bassam Raouf, Director of the Department of Football Specialized Schools at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports (Iraq), Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2012. Location and Management Basra Specialized Football School is located in the area Kut al-Hijjaj in the center of Basra, and headed by coach Hassan Muwla since its inception. The Football School team won the title of the Perfect Team by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Iraq), Ministry of Youth and Sports at the 2018 tournament. Kūt (), officially Al-Kut, also spelled Kutulamare, Kut al-Imara, or Kut Al Amara is a city in eastern Iraq, on the left bank of the Tigris River, about south east of Baghdad, and the capital of the Wasit Governorate. the estimated population is about 389,400 people. Basra () is a port city in Iraq, southern Iraq. Hassan Muwla
Hassan Mawla Maleh (; born 1963 in Basra) is a coach and former international Iraqi football player, he played as a striker. He is currently working as a director of Basra Specialized Football School. Club career Early career Mawla began playing in the Al-Ittihad Academy in 1973. He progressed through the junior and youth teams until he was promoted to the first team in 1978. He played with his club for five seasons, including the 1980–81 season, in which he was able to help his team win the First Division League and get promoted to the Iraqi Premier League. Al-Bahri In 1983, Mawla moved to Al-Bahri, and played with the team for eight seasons, including the 1985–86 season, in which he helped his team for win the First Division League and get promoted to the Premier League. Football In Iraq
The sport of football in the country of Iraq is run by the Iraq Football Association. The association administers the national football team as well as the Iraqi football league system. Football is the most popular sport in Iraq. National teams The national team have qualified for the final tournament of the World Cup once in 1986 which was held in Mexico. Success in the Asian Cup has been more widespread, winning the tournament in 2007 and finishing fourth in 1976 and 2015. As of 2015 the women's national team have not entered either of these competitions. The under-23 side has had success at the Asian Games winning silver at the 2006 edition in Qatar and bronze in the 2014 tournament, held in South Korea.
