Basketball At The 2019 Southeast Asian Games
Basketball was among the sports contested at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines. The basketball tournament in the games featured four events; traditional 5-on-5 basketball and 3x3 basketball, for both men and women. In 5-on-5, the Philippines men's national basketball team, Philippines were the 12-time defending champions in men's and Malaysia women's national basketball team, Malaysia were the two-time defending champions in women's. 3x3 basketball was contested for the first time for both genders. Competition schedule 3x3 basketball was held from 1 to 2 December 2019 and the regular 5-on-5 basketball event was held from 4 to 10 December 2019. 2019 SEA Games
The 2019 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 30th Southeast Asian Games, or the 30th SEA Games, and commonly known as Philippines 2019, were the 30th edition of the SEA Games, Southeast Asian Games, a biennial regional multi-sport event which was held in the Philippines from 30 November to 11 December 2019. However, due to a narrow calendar, some sports started before the opening ceremony as early as 24 November. Stefan Nguyen (; born 24 February 1992) is a retired Vietnamese-Swedish professional basketball player for the Hanoi Buffaloes of the VBA and Saigon Heat of the ABL. Christopher William Dierker (Vietnamese: Đặng Quý Kiệt; born August 11, 1994) is a retired Vietnamese American professional basketball player for the Danang Dragons of the Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA). Career Dierker's mother Lien Dierker grew up in Danang, Vietnam. He attended Salem High School and joined NAIA school Madonna University. He was Madonna's career leader in rebounds (908) and was first in rebound average (7.4 per game), while finishing with 1,483 career points, seventh all time at the university.
