Basantagee Nongallamdai
''Basantagee Nongallamdai'' (English: ''The Dawn of Spring'') is a 2006 Manipuri film directed by Tej Kshetri and produced by Kshetrimayum Muhindro, under the banner of TV 10 and presented by Salam Dwijamani. It stars Kaiku Rajkumar and Maya Choudhury in the lead roles. The film was premiered at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT), Imphal in 2006. The movie was later released at Shankar Talkies, Lamphel and screened in the theatre for more than 50 days. Its second and third installments, respectively titled as ''Ujaningba Saktam'' and ''Achumba Paokhum'' were released in 2007 and 2009. ''Basantagee Nongallamdai'' got official selection at the First Festival of Manipuri Cinema 2007. Kaiku Rajkumar
Rajkumar Kaiku (born 3 January 1974) is an Indian actor who appears in Manipuri films. He has appeared in over 400 Manipuri films. He contested the 2019 parliamentary election in the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha Constituency as an independent candidate. In February 2022, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP; , ) is a political party in India and one of the two major List of political parties in India, Indian political parties alongside the Indian National Congress. Maya Choudhury is an Indian actress who appears in Manipuri films. For her performance as Anna Martin in the 2024 film '' Oneness'', she received the Best Supporting Actor (Female) award at the 17th Manipur State Film Awards in 2025, marking the first award of her career. The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. Hamom Sadananda is an Indian actor and singer who appears in Manipuri films. He is a resident of Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai, Imphal, Manipur. He has acted in more than 100 Manipuri films.
