Barton Brands, Ltd. was a company that produced a variety of distilled beverages and liqueurs and is now part of the Sazerac Company, which is headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has its principal offices in Louisville, Kentucky. The Barton distillery, currently known as the Barton 1792 distillery, was originally established in 1879, and is located in Bardstown, Kentucky. Kentucky Gentleman is a brand of whiskey produced by the Sazerac Company at its Barton 1792 distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The brand was sold as a blend of 51% straight bourbon and 49% neutral grain spirits and bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (80 U.S. proof). It is a mixture of a Canadian whisky base with cinnamon flavoring and sweeteners, and is bottled at 33% alcohol by volume (66 proof (alcohol), U.S. proof). Ten High is a brand of American whiskey first introduced in the 1930s by Hiram Walker & Sons, now produced by the Barton Brands division of the Sazerac Company. The name ''Ten High'' refers to a barrel storage location at least ten ricks high, as barrels in the upper part of the aging warehouse mature faster.
