Barry Gibb
Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb (born 1 September 1946) is a British musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Along with his younger fraternal twin brothers, Robin Gibb, Robin and Maurice Gibb, Maurice, he rose to global fame as a member of the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. Gibb is well known for his wide vocal range including a far-reaching high-pitched falsetto. Gibb's career has spanned over 70 years. As a songwriter, he shares with John Lennon and Paul McCartney the record for most consecutive Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 number ones, each having six. In total, he has written or co-written sixteen ''Billboard'' Hot 100 number ones. In 1994, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with his brothers. Glastonbury Festival 2017
The 2017 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts took place between 21 and 25 June. The three headlining acts were Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran with Barry Gibb performing in the iconic Legend's Slot. Tickets General Admission Tickets for the festival cost £238 for the full weekend. Weather The weather was around 30 °C on 21 June with temperatures potentially reaching 10 °C higher than usual for the festival. The Rattlesnakes (1955 Band)
The Rattlesnakes was a British skiffle/rock and roll group, founded in Manchester in 1955 by Barry Gibb, which later changed to become the Bee Gees in 1958. They were one of the many skiffle bands that were formed in the United Kingdom in the 1950s since the revival of the American skiffle in the UK that was originally started in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Barry started a skiffle group, in which his younger brothers Robin and Maurice Gibb also joined as vocalists, after they returned to their parents' hometown in Manchester, England, in 1955. The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding valuable service in a wide range of useful activities. The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) is an American institution founded in 1969 by songwriter Johnny Mercer, music publisher/songwriter Abe Olman, and publisher/executive Howie Richmond to honor those whose work represent and maintain the heritage and legacy of a spectrum of the most beloved English language songs from the world's popular music songbook.
