Barre Adan Shire Hiiraale
Barre Adan Shire (, ), also known as Barre Hiiraale, Barre "Hirale" Aden Shire, or Abdikadir Adan Shire, Somali politician, former president of Jubaland state of Somalia. He is the former Minister of Defense of the Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG). He was previously the TFG Minister for National Reconstruction and Resettlement. Hiiraale was also the chairman of the now defunct Juba Valley Alliance, which controlled Southern and Southwestern Somalia, including the nation's third-largest city, the strategic port town of Kismayo. Barré Charles Roberts
Barré Charles Roberts (13 March 1789 – 1 January 1810) was an English antiquarian. Biography Roberts was the second son of Edward Roberts, clerk of the pells in the exchequer, who died on 14 May 1835, aged 87. He was born in St. Stephen's Court, Westminster, the official residence of his father, on 13 March 1789, and received his first baptismal name from Colonel Barré, his father's early friend. From May 1797 to June 1799 he was educated under Dr. Horne at Chiswick, and from the latter date to the summer of 1805 under the Rev. William Goodenough at Ealing. He was entered as a commoner at Christ Church, Oxford, on 11 October 1805, and at Christmas 1805 he was nominated as a student by the presentation of Dr. Hay, at the request of Lord Sidmouth. Barre Phillips
Barre Phillips (October 27, 1934 – December 28, 2024) was an American jazz double bass, bassist. A professional musician since 1960, he moved to New York City in 1962, then to Europe in 1967. From 1972 he was based in southern France, where in 2014 he founded the European Improvisation Center. Life and career Phillips was born in San Francisco, California on October 27, 1934. He studied briefly in 1959 with S. Charles Siani, Assistant Principal Bassist with the San Francisco Symphony. During the 1960s, he recorded with (among others) Eric Dolphy, Jimmy Giuffre, Archie Shepp, Peter Nero, Attila Zoller, Lee Konitz, Marion Brown, Gong (band), Gong, Nino Ferrer, and Colette Magny. Alfred Edgar Frederick Higgs (12 August 1896 – 23 October 1972), who wrote under the name Barré Lyndon, was a British playwright and screenwriter. Born in London, Lyndon may be best remembered for his stage play '' The Man in Half Moon Street'', which opened at London's New Theatre on 22 March 1939 and ran for 172 performances, starring Leslie Banks, Malcolm Keen and Ann Todd,''Blood on the Stage, 1925-1950: Milestone Plays of Crime, Mystery, and Detection: An Annotated Repertoire'' by Amnon Kabatchnik, 2009 as well as for three screenplays from the 1940s: '' The Lodger'' (1944), '' Hangover Square'' (1945) and '' The Man in Half Moon Street'' (1945). Barre Seid (born 1932) is an American businessman from Chicago. He was the owner of Tripp Lite, an electrical products manufacturer. Seid donated the company to Marble Freedom Trust, a funder of conservative causes, which in 2021 sold Tripp Lite to American Irish power company Eaton for US$1.65 billion. Early life and education Seid was born in 1932 to Reuben and Anne Seid, who were Russian Jewish immigrants. He grew up on the South Side of Chicago. Seid has two brothers. Seid attended the University of Chicago under a special bachelor's degree program. In 2010, Seid was given an honorary degree by Israel's Bar-Ilan University.
