Barrabup, Western Australia
Barrabup is a rural locality of the Shire of Nannup in the South West region of Western Australia. The eastern boundary of the locality is formed by the Vasse Highway, with much of the locality being covered by state forest. History Barrabup is located on the traditional land of the Noongar nation. Within the locality of Barrabup, the townsite of Quigup was surveyed in 1909 and gazetted in 1911. The town was to accommodate the employees of the new Bartman & Son's sawmill in the area and was originally to be named St Johns Brook, but this name was deemed not suitable as it was already in use somewhere else in Australia. Instead, Quigup was chosen, which is an Aboriginal name of unknown meaning. The townsite, in the south-western corner of the locality, is now completely covered by forest and no buildings exist within its boundaries. Warren-Blackwood is an Electoral districts of Western Australia, electoral district of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia from 1950 to 2008, and from 2013 onwards. Known as Warren until 1996, the district was located in the south-west of the state and first contested at the 1950 Western Australian state election, 1950 state election. Vasse Highway
Vasse Highway is a Western Australian highway connecting Busselton and the South Western Highway south of Manjimup. It is long and travels through jarrah and karri hardwood forests for most of its length, with some small agricultural areas and wineries nearby, and forms the main street of the towns of Nannup (as Warren Road) and Pemberton (as Brockman Street). From Busselton, it starts as State Route 104 from the Bussell Highway 3 km east of Busselton, near the Sir Stuart Bovell sporting complex, and travels the 56 km to Nannup, where it intersects with the Brockman Highway and becomes State Route 10. It then passes Donnelly River and Karri Valley Resort, and 22 km west of Pemberton turnoffs provide entrances to the Beedelup National Park. Munda Biddi Trail
The Munda Biddi Trail is a long-distance mostly off-road cycling trail in Western Australia. It runs for over from Mundaring, Western Australia, Mundaring to Albany, Western Australia, Albany. The completed Munda Biddi Trail opened end-to-end in April 2013 when it claimed the title of the longest continuous off-road cycling trail of its kind in the world. Sections of the trail vary in terms of their difficulty and terrain type but it has stages suitable for everyone's cycling ability and pace. The trail is easily accessible by car, and riders can begin their journey from multiple locations. The Bibulman (Pibelmen) are an Aboriginal Australian people of the southwestern region of Western Australia, a subgroup of the Noongar.
