Barra Mansa is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. It is in the microregion of the Paraíba Valley, within the mesoregion of the South Fluminense. It is located at latitude 22º32'39 "south, longitude 44º10'17" west and altitude of 381 meters. Its estimated population in 2020 was of 184,833 inhabitants, forming a conurbation with the cities of Volta Redonda and Pinheiral with a population of more than 450 thousand inhabitants. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, commonly known as the Série C or the Brazilian Série C to distinguish it from the Italian Serie C, is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Campeonato Fluminense
The Campeonato Fluminense was the football league of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the period when the city of Rio de Janeiro formed the separate state of Guanabara. Until 1960, Rio de Janeiro city was the Brazilian capital and was not part of the homonymous state. In the same year, with the inauguration of Brasília as the new capital of Brazil and the creation of the new Federal District, the city of Rio de Janeiro became the new Guanabara state. The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The football confederation, as known today, separated from other sports associations on 24 September 1979. The CBF has its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
