Baron Hamilton Of Stackallen
Viscount Boyne, in the province of Leinster, is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1717 for the Scottish military commander Gustavus Hamilton, 1st Baron Hamilton of Stackallan. He had already been created Baron Hamilton of Stackallan, in the County of Meath in 1715, also in the Peerage of Ireland. Hamilton was the youngest son of Sir Frederick Hamilton, youngest son of Claud Hamilton, 1st Lord Paisley (from whom the Dukes of Abercorn descend), third son of James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Arran (from whom the Dukes of Hamilton descend). Gustavus Hamilton, 2nd Viscount Boyne PC (Ire) (1710–1746) was an Irish politician and an enthusiastic admirer of Italy and the Carnival of Venice. Birth and origins Gustavus was born in 1710, probably in Ireland. He was the eldest son of Frederick Hamilton and his wife Sophia Hamilton. His grandfather was Major-General Gustavus Hamilton who would soon become Viscount Boyne. His father was the eldest son and heir apparent but would predecease his grandfather. His paternal family was a Protestant cadet branch of the Catholic Earls of Abercorns, who in turn descended from the Scottish Clan Hamilton. George Stucley
Colonel Sir George Stucley Stucley, 1st Baronet DL (17 August 1812 – 13 March 1900), known as George Buck until 1858, was a British Conservative Member of Parliament. Life Buck was born in 1812, the son and heir of Lewis William Buck (1784–1858). He inherited the estates of his father in 1858, and in the same year changed his name and assumed by royal licence the name and arms of Stucley in lieu of his patronymic as lineal heir of the ancient Stucley family, which had possessed Affeton Castle in Devon for over 600 years. He thus possessed the paternal Buck estate of Daddon and other lands, the Stucley inheritance of Affeton and other lands and also Hartland Abbey and other lands. Hamilton John Agmondesham Cuffe, 5th Earl of Desart, (30 August 1848 – 4 November 1934) was an Irish peer and barrister. Early life Cuffe was the second son of John Cuffe, 3rd Earl of Desart and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Campbell. He had an older sister, Lady Alice Mary Cuffe, and brother, William Cuffe, and a younger brother, Captain Otway Cuffe. George Wentworth Warwick Bampfylde, 4th Baron Poltimore (1882–1965) (and 9th Baronet) of Poltimore and North Molton, Devon, was a peer and major landowner in Devonshire, whose family had been seated at Poltimore from about 1300. Gustavus Michael George Hamilton-Russell, 10th Viscount Boyne KCVO, JP (10 December 1931 – 14 December 1995) was an Irish peer, soldier and banker. Background He was the son of Hon. Gustavus Lascelles Hamilton-Russell, oldest son of Gustavus Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne, and his wife Joan Verena Lloyd-Verney (1908–1938), only daughter of Sir Harry Lloyd-Verney by his wife Lady Joan Cuffe, elder daughter of Hamilton Cuffe, 5th Earl of Desart. Richard Hamilton, 4th Viscount Boyne (24 March 1724 – 30 July 1789) was an Irish peer and politician. After serving in the Royal Navy and Irish House of Commons, he inherited the viscountcy from his Frederick Hamilton, 3rd Viscount Boyne in 1772 and died in 1789. Early life Hamilton was born on 24 March 1724. He was the younger son of Gustavus Hamilton (second of Gustavus Hamilton, 1st Viscount Boyne), and his wife the Dorothea Bellew (a daughter of Richard Bellew, 3rd Baron Bellew of Duleek). His uncles were Frederick Hamilton and Henry Hamilton. Career Hamilton joined the Royal Navy, and was promoted to lieutenant on 2 June 1748. The Honourable Frederick Hamilton ( – 1715) was an Irish politician who represented Donegal County in three Irish parliaments. Bridgnorth is a town in Shropshire, England. The River Severn splits it into High Town and Low Town, the upper town on the right bank and the lower on the left bank of the River Severn. The population at the 2011 Census was 12,079. History Bridgnorth is named after a bridge over the River Severn, which was built further north than an earlier bridge at Quatford.
