Barney Sarecky
Barney Sarecky (May 7, 1895 – August 10, 1968) was an American film producer and screenwriter, from the late 1930s into the 1950s. The younger brother of producer/screenwriter Louis Sarecky, he had a much more prolific career, writing or producing almost 75 films. Beginning as an associate producer, he would continue in that role until late in his career, when he would move up into the producer role, beginning with 1947's ''Trailing Danger''. In the early 1950s he would move from the big screen to the smaller screen, working as the associate producer on the highly successful television series, '' Adventures of Superman''. He worked on two small television movies in the mid-1960s, and he was an associate producer on the short-lived television series, ''The American West'', in 1968, shortly before his death on August 10. Plot In the East Side Kids' clubhouse, Muggs McGinnis laments the epidemic of mugging that has been plaguing their streets. The Ape Man
''The Ape Man'' is a 1943 American horror film directed by William Beaudine. The film is based on "They Creep in the Dark" by Karl Brown, which was published in ''The Saturday Evening Post''. It stars Bela Lugosi as Dr. James Brewster who is aided by his colleague Dr. Randall (Henry Hall). The doctor manages to transform himself into an ape man hybrid and desperately seeks a cure. Brewster believes that only the injection of human spinal fluid will prove effective as a cure. As Randall refuses to help him, Brewster and his captive gorilla seek involuntary donors. The film was announced in November 1942, began shooting in December and was released in March by Monogram Pictures Corp. Plot Hank Salko, a member of the Eastside youth gang in New York, is initiated into the world of adult crime when two gangsters, Mike and Butch Brocalli, hire him to stand watch while they rob a bank.
