Barlow River (Chibougamau River)
The Barlow River is a tributary of the Chibougamau River, flowing into the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Eeyou Istchee James Bay Regional Government, Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, Jamésie, in the administrative region of Nord-du-Québec, in the Provinces and territories of Canada, province of Quebec, in Canada. The course of the river successively crosses the townships of Plamondon, Richardson and Blaiklock. This river is also located in the Albanel Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary, Mistassini and Waconichi. The upper part of the hydrographic slope of the "Barlow River" is accessible by a forest road from Chibougamau and going up to the North. The lower part is served by some forest roads that come from the south where passes Quebec route 113, route 113 which connects Lebel-sur-Quévillon to Chibougamau. Barlow is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for his 2003 hit, "Walk Away," from his self-titled 2004 album. Sam Barlow High School (SBHS, colloquially Barlow) is a public high school in Gresham, Oregon, United States, in the Gresham-Barlow School District. It was named after the Oregon pioneer Sam Barlow. History Sam Barlow High School opened in September 1968 in its present location at 302nd Street and Lusted Road, east of Gresham, Oregon. Teacher Stephen Corkett received the University of Oregon's high school teacher of the year award in 2009. On November 23, 2009, two students discussed plans for a school shooting at Barlow High on Myspace. They were found guilty of disorderly conduct in February 2010. Joel Barlow High School is a public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The school serves Easton and Redding students. The school is the sole institution in the Region 9 School District of Connecticut, made up of the towns of Redding and Easton, which each have their own public school systems for education up to the eighth grade. The Board of Education acts as its own Board of Finance, and although it reports to the boards of finance in both towns, they have no control over the school budget. Each year a referendum is held on the school budget and must be passed by a majority of voters in the two towns.
