Barech (; also Kabila-e-Barech, Baraich, Bareach, Barreach) is a Pashtun tribe in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan. The Barech live primarily in Shorawak District. Rohilla
Rohillas are a community of Pashtuns, Pashtun heritage, historically found in Rohilkhand, a region in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It forms the largest Pashtun diaspora community in India, and has given its name to the Rohilkhand region. The Rohilla Chieftaincies, Rohilla military chiefs settled in this region of northern India in the 1720s, the first of whom was Ali Mohammed Khan. The Rohillas are found all over Uttar Pradesh, but are more concentrated in the Rohilkhand regions of Bareilly division, Bareilly and Moradabad division, Moradabad divisions. Between 1838 and 1916, some Rohillas migrated to British Guiana, Guyana, Surinam (Dutch colony), Suriname and History of Trinidad and Tobago#British period, Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean region of the Americas in which they form a subset of the Muslim minority of the Indo-Caribbean ethnic group. Hafiz Rahmat Khan Barech
Hafiz Rahmat Khan (1723 – April 1774) was the Regent of Rohilkhand in North India, from 1749 to 1774. He was a Pashtun by background, ruling over the Rohilla. Hafiz Rahmat Khan had served honorably throughout the reign of three Mughal Emperors: Ahmad Shah Bahadur, Alamgir II and Shah Alam II. He was also a mentor of Prince Mirza Jawan Bakht. Early life and origins In 1673 two Pashtun brothers of the Barech Durrani tribe, Shah Alam Khan and Husain Khan who ancestrally hailed from the Shorawak district of Kandahār, came from the frontier to settle in the Katehr region. Third Battle Of Panipat
The Third Battle of Panipat took place on 14 January 1761 between the Maratha Empire and the invading army of the Durrani Empire. The battle took place in and around the city of Panipat, approximately north of Delhi. The Afghan (ethnonym), Afghans were supported by three key allies in Indian subcontinent, India: Najib ad-Dawlah, Najib ud-Daula who persuaded the support of the Rohilla chiefs, elements of the declining Mughal Empire, and most prized the Oudh State under Shuja-ud-Daula. Several high ranking nobles of the Mughal Empire were able to persuade Chand kingdom, Maharaja Deep Chand of the Kingdom of Kumaon, an old Himalayas, Himalayan ally of the Mughal Empire, to support the Afghan (ethnonym), Afghan side in the battle. First Rohilla War
The First Rohilla War of 1773–1774 was a punitive campaign by Shuja-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh on the behalf of Mughal Emperor, against the Rohillas, Indian descendants of Afghan highlanders settled in Rohilkhand, northern India. The Nawab was supported by troops of the British East India Company, in a successful campaign brought about by the Rohillas reneging on a debt to the Nawab. Background Having been driven into the mountains by the Marathas, a few years earlier, the Rohillas had appealed for aid to Shuja-ud-Daulah, at that time an ally of the British. The Nawab demanded in return 40 rods of gold, that Rohilla chiefs refused to pay. The Nawab then decided to annex their country, and appealed to Warren Hastings for assistance, which was given in return for a sum of forty lakhs of rupees. Ahmad Raza Khan
Ahmad Raza Khan Baraylawi (14 June 1856–28 October 1921), known reverentially as A'la Hazrat, (Grand Master), was an Islamic scholar, mufti, polymath, gnostic, poet from (undivided) India, he is considered as the founder of the Barelvi movement by his rivals. Born in Bareilly, British India, Ahmad Raza Khan wrote on law, religion, philosophy and the sciences, and because he mastered many subjects in both rational and religious sciences he has been called a polymath by Francis Robinson, a leading Western historian and academic who specializes in the history of South Asia and Islam. As well as D. B. Hann. He himself states he mastered over 55 branches of knowledge which he also lists out. Durrani Pashtun Tribes
The Durrānī (, ), formerly known as Abdālī (), are one of the largest tribal confederation of Pashtuns. Their traditional homeland is in southern Afghanistan (Loy Kandahar region), straddling into Toba Achakzai in Balochistan, Pakistan, but they are also settled in other parts of Afghanistan and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Ahmad Shah Durrani, who is considered the founder of the modern state of Afghanistan, belonged to the Abdali tribe. Soha Ali Khan Pataudi (born 4 October 1978) is an Indian actress who has worked in Hindi, Bengali, and English films. Hassan Raza Khan
Hassan Raza Khan Barelvi (1 October 185918 October 1908) popularly known as Hasan Barelvi was an Indian Islamic scholar, sufi and poet and the younger brother of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi, the main leader of the Ahle Sunnat movement. He was a disciple of Syed Shah Ale Rasool Marehrawi, a Sufi master from Marehra, Etah, Uttar Pradesh. He was a disciple of Dagh Dehlvi, a learned poet from Delhi. Hasrat Mohani praised Khan's poetry. Nawab Of Pataudi
Pataudi State was a small princely state in India, established in 1804 by the East India Company rule in India. The state formed a part of the Delhi Territory in the Ceded and Conquered Provinces. It was under the suzerainty of the Commissioner of Delhi. It had an area of 52 square miles and included one town, Pataudi, and 40 villages, ruled by the Pataudi family. Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi
Nawab Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, sometimes I. A. K. Pataudi (16 March 1910 – 5 January 1952), was an Indian prince and cricket player. He was the captain of the India's national cricket team during its tour of England in 1946. His son Mansoor also later served as captain of the India cricket team. He also played Test cricket for the England team in 1932 and 1934, making him one of the few cricketers to have played Test cricket for two countries and the only Test cricketer to have played for both India and England. He played in six Tests in all, three as captain of India and three for England. Pataudi was the ruling Nawab of the princely state of Pataudi during the British Raj from 1917 until 1947.
