Bare-Fisted Gallagher
''Bare-Fisted Gallagher'' is a lost 1919 silent western feature directed by Joseph J. Franz and starring William Desmond. It was produced by Jesse D. Hampton and released through Robertson-Cole soon to amalgamate into Film Booking Offices of America (FBO). Plot Bare-fisted Gallagher (William Desmond) has inherited a mine from his uncle. Gallagher falls in love with a woman bandit, whom he has rescued from an attack by Aliso Pete (Frank Lanning). Aliso owns the general store, but also turns out to be another bandit. Gallagher convinces Jem to reform. Agnes Vernon
Agnes Vernon (18951948) was an American film actress of the Silent film, silent era. While still in her teens, she experienced a meteoric ascent from obscurity to Box office, box-office sensation. After turning twenty-three and a movie career fading away, she abandoned the silver screen forever. Vernon performed in over 90 films between 1913 and 1922. She completed most of her roles under contract with Universal Pictures. Vernon was born into a pious Catholic Church, Catholic household in La Grande, Oregon, on Friday, December 27, 1895. She attended Catholic school, convent schools in various cities, landing in Chicago while still a young schoolgirl. In 1913, while visiting a cousin in California, they took a tour of Universal Studios. While watching the filming of a motion picture, the film's director asked her to become an extra. Bill Patton (actor)
Bill Patton (June 2, 1894 – December 12, 1951) was an American actor of the silent and early sound eras. Born in Amarillo, Texas, he debuted in the film industry in ''The Boss of the Lazy Y'' in 1918. After small roles in several films, he received his first starring role in 1921's ''Outlawed''. Over the next six years he starred in more than 20 films. In 1927, he returned to smaller roles, which continued through the advent of talking pictures. His last performance on screen was in a small role in the classic ''The Picture of Dorian Gray'' in 1945. He died on December 12, 1951.
