Latvian mythology is the collection of myths that have emerged throughout the history of Latvia, sometimes being elaborated upon by successive generations, and at other times being rejected and replaced by other explanatory narratives. These myths, for the most part, likely stem from Proto indo european, Proto-Indo-European practices and the later folk traditions of the Latvian people and pre-Christian Baltic mythology. Vergina
Vergina (, ) is a small town in Northern Greece, part of the Veria municipality in Imathia, Central Macedonia. Vergina was established in 1922 in the aftermath of the Population exchange between Greece and Turkey, population exchanges after the Treaty of Lausanne and was a separate Municipalities and communities of Greece, municipality until 2011, when it was merged with Veroia under the Kallikratis Plan. Armand Barbès
Armand Barbès (18 September 1809 – 26 June 1870) was a French Republican revolutionary and an opponent of the July Monarchy (1830–1848). He is remembered as a man whose life centers on two days: * ''12 May 1839'', the day of the uprising the Republicans tried to overthrow the king, Louis Philippe. His ill-considered actions on this day led to a sentence of life imprisonment; he was, however, released by the revolution of 1848; and * ''15 May 1848'', the day when demonstrators invaded the Assemblée Nationale, where Barbès had been serving as a deputy for about three weeks. The demonstrators' apparent aim was to urge the government to exercise whatever influence it could to support Poland's liberation. Things got out of hand, however, and Barbès got caught up in what was perceived as a coup d'état through the imposition of a provisional government. The Boulevard Barbès is a boulevard in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. It is named after French politician Armand Barbès. It was built in 1867 during Haussmann's renovation of Paris.
