Barbara Dean Stewart (September 17, 1941 – August 5, 2011) was an American composer and musician, known for her work on the kazoo, both in those fields and as a speaker, researcher, and author. She appeared on ''The Tonight Show ''The Tonight Show'' is an American late-night talk show that has aired on NBC since 1954. Kazoo
The kazoo is an American musical instrument that adds a "buzzing" timbral quality to a player's voice when the player vocalizes into it. It is a type of '' mirliton'' (which itself is a membranophone), one of a class of instruments which modifies its player's voice by way of a vibrating membrane of goldbeater's skin or material with similar characteristics. Similar hide-covered vibrating and voice-changing instruments have been used in Africa for hundreds of years. Carnegie Hall ( ) is a concert venue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It is at 881 Seventh Avenue, occupying the east side of Seventh Avenue between West 56th and 57th Streets.
