Banner Pilot is a Punk rock, punk band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Their music is influenced by acts such as Jawbreaker (band), Jawbreaker, The Lawrence Arms, Screeching Weasel, and Hot Water Music. History The band was formed by Nate Gangelhoff and Nick Johnson in 2005 following the dissolution of their previous band, Rivethead. The two self-released a demo the same year, garnering positive reviews from both Punknews and Razorcake. The following year they released the EP ''Pass the Poison'' and toured the East Coast, drawing the attention of Go-Kart Records. In late 2007 and early 2008, the band recorded their Go-Kart Records debut full length, ''Resignation Day''. Mike left the band to return to school and Corey was recruited as a replacement for their summer West Coast tour. In April, 2009, Banner Pilot was signed to Fat Wreck Chords. Teenage Bottlerocket is an American rock band formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2000. The rock band was formed by twin brothers Ray and Brandon Carlisle, following the dissolution of their previous band, Homeless Wonders. The band's music is heavily influenced by guitarist and co-vocalist Kody Templeman's other band, The Lillingtons, and punk rock acts such as Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Green Day, The Bouncing Souls, and Misfits; Their music has been referred to as "Ramones-core", "Weasel-core" and "leather jacket punk". Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is an independent record label based in San Francisco focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) and his wife at the time, Erin Burkett in 1990. As of 2009, Fat Wreck Chords has released over 300 studio albums. History Fat Mike started his record label Wassail Records in 1987. He put out two NOFX records, The PMRC 7” in 1987 and Liberal Animation in 1988. In 1990, he and his wife Erin Burkett co-founded Fat Wreck Chords, and re-released NOFX's 1987 EP, The P.M.R.C Can Suck on This. The Gateway District are a pop punk band from Minneapolis that feature members of several other bands, including the Soviettes, Banner Pilot, the Salteens, Dear Landlord, Rivethead and Off with Their Heads. Groezrock
Groezrock was an annual music festival that took place in Meerhout, Belgium. It started as a small rock music, rock and pop music, pop festival with one stage and a few hundred people attending, but evolved into a large punk rock/hardcore punk festival, with attendances exceeding 30,000. The festival had one stage until 2003, when it added a second stage called Back-to-Basics, which was reserved for more hardcore-oriented bands. Since 2006 the festival has taken place over multiple days, and grew to three stages in 2009 and four stages in 2012. It was announced in October 2017 that the 2018 edition of Groezrock would not be taking place in the Spring, and would instead be an indoor festival in the autumn.
