Bang Sue–Taling Chan Red Line
The SRT Light Red Line, or Nakhon Withi Line () is a between Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and Taling Chan and is part of the SRT Red Lines suburban railway system serving the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region. An initial segment from Taling Chan to Bang Son previously opened for limited, free trial service between 5 December 2012 and 13 January 2014 with only 12 services a day until all services were fully suspended due to the lack of rolling stock. After a much-delayed completion of the electrification of the line and the construction of Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, the line finally opened for trial operations on 2 August 2021. Full commercial services commenced on 29 November 2021. A much delayed western extension of the line from Taling Chan to Salaya was due to be tendered in June 2022. Hua Mak Railway Station
Hua Mak station (, ) is a station on the Eastern Line of the State Railway of Thailand, an Airport Rail Link station and an MRT station on the Yellow Line, located on Srinagarindra Road in Phatthanakan Subdistrict, Suan Luang District, Bangkok. Three rail operators run the station complex separately at their respective stations, with no paid area integration between the three stations. History Hua Mak opened as "Ban Hua Mak" railway station on 24 January 1907 on the Eastern Line between Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) and Chachoengsao Junction, operated by the State Railway of Thailand. It is unknown when the station was renamed to Hua Mak. The original wooden building was demolished to make way for the construction of the Airport Rail Link. The ARL station opened on 23 August 2010. The ARL is intended to be the backbone of the future High Speed Rail line (HSR) to Chonburi and Rayong. Taling Chan Station
Taling Chan Station is a railway station located in Taling Chan District, Bangkok. It is operated by the State Railway of Thailand and serves two routes: the Southern Main Line and the Bang Sue–Taling Chan SRT Light Red Line. In the future, it will become an interchange station and western terminus for the MRT Orange Line following the opening of the western extension in 2030. It is located 22.136 kilometres from Bangkok railway station. Taling Chan Junction serves as a junction for the mainline from Bangkok and the short branchline to Thon Buri railway station, near Siriraj Hospital. Taling Chan Station is also the terminus for the current Light Red Line from Bang Sue. In the past, the station building was a wooden structure with about five platforms. The MRT Yellow Line () or MRT Nakkhara Phiphat Line () is an elevated monorail line in Bangkok and Samut Prakan Province, Thailand, part of the MRT (Bangkok), MRT rapid transit system. The line has 23 stations and cost 55 billion baht. The line was originally proposed in 2005 by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning to be a heavy rail underground line along Lat Phrao road which was then elevated from Lam Sali Intersection to Samrong. However, it was decided in 2012 to build an elevated monorail line for the whole length in order to reduce construction costs.
