Bandits In Milan
''Bandits in Milan'' (; also known as ''The Violent Four'') is a 1968 Italian crime film directed by Carlo Lizzani. It was listed to compete at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival, but the festival was cancelled due to the events of May 1968 in France. It is the debut film of Agostina Belli. In 2008, the film was included on the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage’s 100 Italian films to be saved, a list of 100 films that "have changed the collective memory of the country between 1942 and 1978." Carlo Lizzani
Carlo Lizzani (3 April 1922 – 5 October 2013) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and critic. Biography Born in Rome, before World War II Lizzani worked as a scenarist on such films as Roberto Rossellini's '' Germany Year Zero'', Alberto Lattuada's '' The Mill on the Po'' (both 1948), and Giuseppe De Santis' '' Bitter Rice'' (1949), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Story. After directing documentaries, he debuted as a feature director with the admired World War II drama '' Attention! Bandits!'' (1951). Respected for his awarded drama '' Chronicle of Poor Lovers'' (1954), he has proven a solid director of genre films, notably crime films such as '' The Violent Four'' (1968) and '' Crazy Joe'' (1974) or crime-comedy '' Roma Bene'' (1971). Agostina Belli
Agostina Belli (born 13 April 1947) is an Italian film actress. She has appeared in more than 50 films since 1968. Life and career Born in Milan as Agostina Maria Magnoni, Belli made her debut in 1968 with a minor part in ''Bandits in Milan'', then appeared in supporting roles in several musicarelli, giallo films and horror of Spanish-Italian co-production. She had her first role of weight in Lina Wertmüller's '' The Seduction of Mimi'', then she was chosen by Dino Risi as the beautiful Sara in '' Scent of a Woman'', for which she won a Grolla d'oro, and the ingenuous Marcella of ''The Career of a Chambermaid'', for which she received a special David di Donatello. In the 1970s, Belli enjoyed a period of strong popularity performing in small productions and comedies of somewhat dubious value, but of great commercial success, from the 1980s onwards, she reduced the quantity of her appearances. Pietro Martellanza (30 September 1938 – 1 February 2010), best known as Peter Martell, was an Italian film actor who had numerous bigger roles in Spaghetti westerns. Laura Solari ( Camaur; 5 January 1913 – 13 September 1984) was an Italian film actress. Early and personal life Laura Camaur was born on 5 January 1913, in Trieste, then part of Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of sculptor and artist Antonio Camaur (1875-1919) and his wife, Maria Taucer. In addition to being prominent in Triestine art and intellectual circles, Antonio Camaur was a prominent Irredentist and advocated annexation of Trieste by Italy. In late 1915, Camaur went into exile because of his pro-Italian sympathies, and Laura lived in Northern Italy until her family's return to Trieste in 1919. After World War I, Laura Camaur came under the tutelage of the Taucer family who sent her to be educated in Vienna.
