Sashadhar Mukherjee
Sashadhar Mukherjee (29 September 1909 – 3 November 1990) was an Indian filmmaker in Hindi cinema. He started his career with Bombay Talkies in the 1930s, and later established Filmistan Studio with Rai Bahadur Chunilal (father of music director Madan Mohan), Ashok Kumar and Gyan Mukherjee in 1943. In the 1950s, he went on to start his independent studio, Filmalaya. He is noted for films like '' Dil Deke Dekho'' (1959), ''Love in Simla'' (1960), '' Ek Musafir Ek Hasina'' (1962) and ''Leader'' (1964). He is part of the distinguished Mukherjee clan of Bollywood. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Film in 1956 for ''Jagriti''. In 1967, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour by the Government of India. Pūrṇimā () is the word for full moon in Sanskrit. The day of Purnima is the day (''Tithi'') in each month when the full moon occurs, and marks the division in each month between the two lunar fortnights (paksha), and the Moon is aligned exactly in a straight line, called a syzygy, with the Sun and Earth. Full moon is considered the third of the four primary phases of the Moon; the other three phases are new moon, first quarter moon, and third quarter moon. Jagannath
Jagannath (; formerly ) is a Hindu deity worshipped in regional Hindu traditions in India as part of a triad along with (Krishna's) brother Balabhadra, and sister, Subhadra. Jagannath, within Odia Hinduism, is the supreme god, '' Purushottama'', and the '' Para Brahman''. To most Vaishnava Hindus, particularly the Krishnaites, Jagannath is a form of Krishna, sometimes as the avatar of Vishnu. To some Shaiva and Shakta Hindus, he is a symmetry-filled tantric form of Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Shiva associated with annihilation. Shah Nawaz
Shah Nawaz Khan (January 1914 – 9 December 1983) was an Indian politician who served as an officer in the Indian National Army (INA) during World War II. He was profoundly influenced by Subhas Chandra Bose's speeches asking POWs to join the Indian National Army and to fight for a free India, Khan led the army into North-Eastern India, seizing Kohima and Imphal which were held briefly by the INA under the authority of the Japanese. In December 1944, Shah Nawaz Khan was appointed Commander of the 1st Division at Mandalay. After the war, he was tried, convicted for treason, and sentenced to death in a public court-martial carried out by the British Indian Army. The sentence was commuted by the Commander-in-chief of the Indian Army following unrest and protests in India. Amiya Chakravarty (30 November 1912 – 6 March 1957) was an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer, who was leading film director in Hindi cinema of the 1940s and 1950s. He is noted for films like '' Daag'' (1952), '' Patita'' (1953), and '' Seema'' (1955) for which he won the 4th Filmfare Award for Best Story. Chakravarty is also credited along with Devika Rani for discovering Dilip Kumar, whom he gave his first break in 1944 film Jwar Bhata (1944 film). Suresh (born as Naseem Ahmed; 13 November 1928 – 14 July 1979), also known as N. A. Suresh, was an Indian actor in Bollywood, who was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India. He acted in Hindi/Hindustani and Punjabi films from 1941 to 1979. Early life Suresh started as a child artiste in 1929 as baby Krishna in ''Gopal Krishna'' and as a child artiste in ''Nishan-e-Jung'' in 1937.
